Read this today. UK weekly motorcycle news(paper) ran a test between "Naked" streetbikes. Included were a Triumph Daytona,Kawasaki Z1000 ,Honda Hornet and ,of course,the new Fazer.

Fazer was the most powerful - dyno showed 128 rwhp ,but had a lower top speed than the Kawasaki.

The Fazer still has injection problems low down and thought to be sluggish below 6000 rpm,but went like a bullet from 8000 onwards. All were thought to be unsuitable for touring or high speed riding due to the lack of a fairing.

Not a road test to make you run out and buy one.

Coincidentally I was at my dealer today who had both versions on the shop floor. The naked thou' looked as mean as a very mean thing ! The faired version was comfortable and could tempt me but for the lack of lowdown grunt (and a multigauge of course)

Here in the UK the price today is £7,150 for the naked and £7,499 for the one with the fairing.
