Ph, sunday i busy with something.. Anyway, as for the timing chain.. Mr lee will ship out on tuesday.. By friday should be able to get the chain.. Then see which night you free, overnight at my shop i do everything for you... The timing chain will restore all the power loss and will definitely make the bike less noisy and smoother.. Anyway.. Merry christmas to everyone out there.. Take cares...

Welcome to Hyosung Comet Group, bro Hopsport! Hyosung Comets are a very rare to find bikes in Singapore... Although our group members did find more of this bikes in Singapore... We still are the smallest community in SBF (if i can say so), since most Comet owners might not know of SBF or are imbecile to the use of internet. However as a small group, with a great prodigy mechanic in the making (Bro Ying Hai), we always turned to import all our parts from Korea and some other parts of the world. The advantage is we get parts cheaper that those available on our local bike shop. We will also strive to help one another in any difficulties they have!

As mentioned before in this thread, Comet bikes are known to be one of the great bike, if you know and look after it. Maintenance wise are not difficult and fuel consumption are very minimal due to its 17 litres fuel tank. It can be modded and as proud as we are of our bro YH, we will continue our support towards future reconnaissance of this bike... Much can be done...

If you are really lucky, you can get hold of this bike through 2nd hand purchase from some bike shops in Singapore, but rare... Some got their bikes mostly from Bike Production off Upper Serangoon Road, some from Ban Hong, and 1 person i know got his from Heng Motors at Upper Changi Road. This bike might end up at any other shops in Singapore, but you really got to look hard for it... and the patience might be rewarding!!! Well, i got mine first love... I'm never giving it up!!!!

Thanks for the prompt reply bros! I've seen videos of this bike on youtube and with its looks and reasonable fc and cost I'm surprised it's not as popular as it could have been.

Anws, someone is selling his comet on sgbikemart.com for $1400 but can't get thru his hp. Real pity.. I think that's a great price for an awesome bike.

I have 2 more weeks before I get my license (hopefully lol) and I think the comet will still be my top choice. So if u guys know of anyone who's willing to part with his/her comet do tell :)

Meanwhile I will scout the shops mentioned and try my luck.

i went over a bump and the sensor fall out of the cable tie.. thinking of getting replacement parts from ubi there.. trying to join the wire...

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a169/malex_sky/f57802f4.jpg

tested the sensor and resolder the wire.. i couldnt get much of the wire in it to solder a good contact..

then to preparing my fibre putty(suppose to use it to patch race fairing)..

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a169/malex_sky/3ed7f919.jpg

retest the sensor again and it seems to work.. not sure if it could work well on the bike..

fill it with the putty and test.. it looks more like a pink alien..

gonna test it on my bike tmrw.. hopefully it works..
