Hey guys, wanna ask if anyone knows of any jack that's suitable for bikes? Think with a jack we can clean, lubricate & stuff like that better right?

 

I can only think of 3 methods.. I would prefer the mainstand, but pricy.. hope this helps..

 

1) Main stand - Saw before on one unknown yellow comet. but i am not sure where to fix main stand for our bike.. Even ban hong also say dun have.. Not transferable when u change bike. Pricy also.

 

2) Rollastand - Seems like not a bad product, but not avail in Sg, can bring almost anywhere. Abit pricy also.. One was sold long time ago, i remember seller said, dun expect turning the wheel to be as ez as la kopi..

 

ps: A forumer actually made a identical one and tried to sell it in SBF garage sales.. but not sure where is the thread now..

 

3) Car jack - Think is the cheapest of all. Some was saying can get it cheap cheap at junk yard...etc. But got to find the right spot to put the jack, if not might be unstable..

Hey matkeltal, i faced something like you're facing right now but has been rectified. My case was that when i press the front brake, there's no light but when i press the rear brake there is. I went to Ban Hong and they just touch touch here & there then can liao. Think could be due to the wiring. Maybe you could go down too?

 

press front brake also will got light one ah? hahaha sorry i very noob. er yeah maybe i'll go down to ban hon ard next week.

speaking of jack.. have u all seen how the mech jack the bikes up? they put the bike on side stand, then use the jack to jack up on the frame side. looks kinda unstable. i think the rollastand is the most stable n safest..

The way mech jack up bikes huh... seriously look unstable, but i guess they know what they are doing loh.. at most drop make noise with them and ask them pay.. hahhaa... Cos i ever saw mech drop customer's bike becos side stand not put down properly..

fri night SP Raiders outing. long story cut short, we all tried each other's bike. den this fella no licsence tried my bike den PIANG!!! bike dropped to the right. 3 ppl including fauzi needa carry the bike sia. den dey said got leakage and bike cant start. we tried push starting can start but it died by itself even after revving. after sometime with choke den can start. damage was at the end of brake lever chipped off and endcan a bit scratches/scrapes. lucky no dent at tank or wad sia.

 

so sat afternoon went to ban hong and guess wad dey told me? dey said very busy so cant service bike. wtf waste my petrol only sia. so just changed fully syn EO and new brake lever. the boss like unfriendly one ah and stingy also. haiz...

Wha matkental, it was really a mistake lending them your bike ah. 1st thing is that the feeling is different and our bike is alot more heavier than SPs & KRR. Actually i just learnt the technic on how to lift up the bike but is only taught when attending class 2 bikes. From the way he demo it seems quite easy but have yet to master it. Will teach you guys another time ya.

 

Actually the boss at Ban Hong seems quite stuck up but there're 2 mechs there who're quite ok lah. So does your bike start normally now?

chill bro, he didnt mean to lose control. and plus, if u really have no confidence if letting other ppl be it with license or no license, then just refuse. i agree he has no license, but knowing him, i know he can handle bike. and repair bikes as well. kickstart takes practice, even me, i had to go through a million time on my sis ex boyfriend kr. that piece of card doesnt mean anything. i rode in other country b4 i got that card.

just take it in ur stride as a lesson learn aight?

Hey matkental, if i'm not wrong, Ban Hon at Blk 5022 is just a showroom, something like that. As for Ban Hong Geok Kee at Blk 5038 is where we should go to service the bike.
