and oh btw, went bukit merah just now and saw a yellow comet near hkl dere. i think its the one mattman saw cos it had "DUCATI" on the side tank... :slapforehead:

but i think i saw the "fork" gold colour sia...

 

 

The one i saw with the ducati wording was a red comet, and should be fork of normal colour.. gold fork if not wrong is 250cc cos i think the main frame for 650cc is different.. i totally agree with the :slapforehead:

Engine lacks power.

1. Loosen of valve clearance.

2. Weakened valve springs.

3. Valve timing out of adjustment.

4. Worn piston ring or cylinder.

5. Poor seating of valves.

6. Fouled spark plug.

7. Worn camshaft.

8. Spark plug gap incorrect.

9. Clogged jets in carburetor.

10. Float-chamber fuel level out of adjustment.

11. Clogged air cleaner element.

12. Too much enging oil.

13. Defective air intake pipe.

 

Medium or high speed trouble.

1. Main jet or main air jet is clogged.

2. Needle jet is clogged.

3. Throttle valve is not operating properly.

4. Filter is clogged.

huh.. back to 80...? To recap back alittle, ur $110 consist of

service carb, change air filter and spark plugs... The last time i had problems with my speed of not being able to go pass 40km/h was due to the air filter.. if urs is change.. then maybe can strike that out...

 

Maybe go back to them and complain..? how can it happen again in less then half a month..

bro..sat afternoon is fine with me..but u can go early if u wanna mann..yday evening i tried an it got to 90..but still it took a long time to get that speed..we can get into cte from pie instead of lornie road..that way we wont go central area and no erp i guess...both routes looks somewat same distance ...

just came back from ban hong and ban hon with zanub.

finally brake light problem solved and tuned engine.

lol funny sia see zanub bargain bargain with "Mr. Angry Face".

saw 1 black comet at ban hong at another black comet with rxz bubble

at ban hon which was FY plate gg for $2K.

now that ricky's back, when is the next outing? hehe

I feel two things which affect my f/c previous.. one is carb dirty(first time wash at around 39000), two is air filter.. My carb wash 2-3 months ago, cannot be f.c getting lousier by the day ma.. so skin thick abit, go ban hong to change air filter..

 

To get 34km/l must sacrifice abit.. cos i really didnt wack at any gear.. Rpm usually not more than 6/7k, unless on expressway.. accelerate slowly, totally dun care about the traffic behind loh... hehe..

 

Think if i ride normally, should be about 28-30 loh...

but i think u should be going in back camp real soon right?

 

anyway, regarding fc, alot of factors determine this.

 

riding style wise:

 

move off slow, dont just turn and turn the throttle. have a smooth gear changing technique. dont drag gear. and slowly build up speed and dont wack ur bike at the expressway.

someppl say stopping without the use of ur engine brake improves fc as well, how true? i dont know. u all can experiment.

 

bike wise:

 

check ur tire pressure

clean air filter will give good fc.

ur carb as well as what matt says.

lube ur chain as well.

plus many many more. as long as u keep ur bike in good riding condition, no problem achieving good fc with a positive riding style:cheeky:
