went and checked with 2 mechs..they say got to replace gasket..say around 100+... ..so will come bac from vacation and do it..really hope ban hon has it....any ideas how much this will cost...anyone done this yet...

Hey guys, i just came back from Jb after pumping petrol. Was shocked after i exit the M'sia customs as the usual road was closed and had to make a big round. Luckly i managed to find my way back by following a Sin bike. Do take note ya..

Hey guys, i just came back from Ban Hong this afternoon.. Saw a total of 3 yellow comets. 2 were GT125 & the other was GT250..

 

Wanna ask if the following bikes belong to anyone..

Saw a yellow comet with box, near upper thomson turning to SLE.. Cant fully remember the number plate... but it might be the FZ 95(76?) that s32 saw.. It was a male rider wearing specs and open full helmet.. dun seems like any of us here....

 

If trade in. they "keep" u as a customer loh... zzzz....

When i was at Ban Hong 2 days ago, i asked for the price of a DRZ and was quoted around 15K.. Is it over quote??? Thought Ban Hong & Bike Production are the same and their quotes are one of the lowest in S'pore???

Happy new year to all... but i guess not for me... just tow my bike to bikeshop...

 

Happily ride to suntec, park and go off.. When come back, about 6hrs later, discover petrol leaking (Pls see attached pic.) Initial suspicions was fuel hose thingy drop out.. I try to see, but too dark, lan lan call for towing(CBD area and timing ex loh...)

 

Tow to bike shop, mech suspect the seat rub against the "fuel tank" causing wear and tear.. since i am there, i change lots of stuff.. E.O, spark plug, oil filter, tyres, ask shop go inspection, renew road tax and duno what O ring at the rear cylinder there... Think there goes my bonus.. now bikeless... sian..

 

So guys, pls check ur seat/fuel tank if there is any wear and tear... hope u all wont encounter the same as me...

 

ps: hope the petrol did not cause any inconvenience to the scoot and gixxer parked behind me.. I did tell the suntec cleaner to clean up the area before i left...

first i said, engine oil leakage probs....then they say cannot repair no time...come next week....so i say i want to change front tires as well...then he say, ok only 2 things so no prbs,wahhsap.. they replace tensioner(95$..) then they say a piece of cardboard the owner cut out in his spare time wen i was waiting is the new gasket..oh noo....

 

for front tires, they only charge 65$ for some dura brand...importantly it matches my back tire...cheap i think cause i got quoted 90 other place..

 

then they say come next week to change chains...another 100$...hehe...to be frank they never repaired anything till now for me..it was always replace parts...is there a bike repair shop here for comets...phew....hey does racewerks do comet..wats address mattman...

 

went ahboy also...changed to carbon fibre mirrors and also change hand grips to black and chrome one..sort of ok price for those....

 

do post in the prices of stuff that u guys do also...i think will help to compare...

Seriously, i dun like that weird feeling that i get whenever i drop by there... I suddenly feel orangy and with green hair.. Few months into riding in 2006 (noobie), i got my tires change at famous shop at A.village on a sunday. Quote me $220 for a BT39F

Front 110/70/17 - Year 2005

Rear 150/70/17 - Year 2006

 

After that, i discovered they never do balancing for me. Email the boss, he make noise saying i am the one creating trouble.. wtf loh.. Maybe i should use broken english to him.. Hack him, ignore after that... Now, i go to a bikeshop, which isnt dirt cheap, but at least they work with a conscience loh..

Yeah.. I called and ask got chain and sprocket got gt125, they say have. Quote about $170. Few days later, reach they say dun have, only left for GT250. Cost $250 loh. They claim higher quality.

 

GT125 uses 428 chain where as GT250 uses maybe 520 chain. After that, i can hear them pointing and commenting about my "DIY" sprocket and 520 chain...

Light Bulb, Front or Rear - $2.5 ~ $9

Clutch Cable (Suzuki) - $30

Brake Pad front - $22 (Ban hong) ~ $27

Brake pad rear - $18 (Honda SP) ~ $28 (Daytona)

DIY Front, Rear sprocket & chain - total about 150~160

"Rxz head" - $38 (not inclusive of labour)

 

Till now, i kept a record of what, where, when i have change the items.
