Hi guys, need help here. I have a omega watch with the metal strap broken. Was thinking of replacing it with either rubber or the original. Any recommendation?

It is a seamaster, America cup.

Thanks

Try replacing with an original leather strap with omega buckle.

It will look unique and add a touch of elegance to a sporty watch.

I did that to my Submariner. and I like it....

Hi bro, just got my PP5712 last month. Absolutely no regrets, a very fine piece. Sharing a shot with Patek fans here...

Since you have the SS Nautilaus, it will make more sense to get the AP Rosegold.

thanks for the link. I'm considering whether to buy or not. kinda extravagant use of money....

yikes.. PP.. can only dream of owning 1..

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

The PP5711R is in rosegold and alligator strap, very classy and AP has a big chunk of precious metal, very bling!! Hard to choose. Patek in general holds their value pretty well. Guys who bought their PP5712 or 5711 couple of years back are either breaking even or making a little $$ selling them now. So I have no issues spending $$ on time pieces with good track records. Like the Patek slogan: You never actually own a Patek, you are merely taking care of it for the next generation. Use this lousy reason to justify the $$ buying the watch and you'll feel a little better. LOL!

It's achievable with a little luck, brains and hard work for everyone. Hope your dream will come true :)

I'm not gonna lie to myself.

If I buy it , it's not to pass to next generation. haha

It's for instant gratification becos i'm no watch connoissuer nor watch lover.

The link you posted is really tempting....

KNN, you poison SGROC people, then come here and poison SBF people, heh...

$47,500 for a new 5712R is quite alright.

Whats the market for a preowned?

I'm fairly rough with watches so a nice preowned makes good sense.

Especially if the price difference is significant and since i'm not buying it for the next generation, hahaha

Haha! I kena poison jia lat jia lat by SGROC people so I come here to spread some poison. Preowned 5712R going for 42k thereabout and snap up pretty quickly by buyers. Very difficult to come across a preowned piece for sale, I missed one last month so decided to go for a brand new in box stainless steel version. I am a watch lover and life is empty without a Patek, so decided to take the plunge. I won't pass down to my son either, I flip watches faster than a Hayabusa...

thanks for info again

I'm the opposite, i never buy with a view to sell.

but have sold my explorer II which was neglected, left sitting in my drawer.

So $47,500 is an ok deal for the 5712R, it seems.

I'll standby for a moment as i've already spent quite a fair bit lately.

Better recuperate a couple of months first. so i feel less guilty.

Just a pc of my advise bro,if can dun get watches with any precious metal e.g silver, gold,R gold, platinium and with special or precious stones etc... The value wouldn't hold as good as those with pure stainless steel

Ducados, SS version probably thirty something ...

It's not about how much the watch cost.

It's about how much a watch hold it's value.

E.g u sell a SS watch u lose how much? (in terms of %)

definitely u lose more if u were to sell a watch with gold.

then u calculate the amount u lost if u sell a watch with gold.
