rzboy got one qus does rd350lc share the same ignition wif rd125lc??? is the clip all the same or must modify it???

yes it's same bro. like i said earlier, most parts are interchangable in the yamaha two stroke range. btw, the clip u mentioned is the wiring connector rite? happy fixing!:angel::angel:

is it hard to find spare parts for the rd125lc?

Gd day bro. it depends on what type of parts u need. mechanical stuff- no problem, electrical and cosmetic stuff- some problem. u also need to put in the effort to search whatever u r looking for.

u can refer to earlier posts in this forum for more knowledge. i personally bought a brand new 31k meter unit which was sitting on the shelf for 20yrs for $50. all thanks to a friend who likes to check out bike shops. so the moral of the story is start looking and start asking. U'll b surprised what the shops have under all that dust and cobwebs. happy hunting!!!:thumb:

is it hard to maintain a rd125lc?

is it comparable to a bike like say rxz maintenance wise?

it's never too hard if u put in the effort. yes it's comparable to a RXZ. do remember, it's a machine after all. they need TLC if u want them to last.

reminds me of the days when bengs of yesteryear chose the LC as their weapon of choice. the horrible smell of 2t, jacked up tail units and all those chrome!!!! lovely!!!!

have u tried auto and ban hoe? they had a few(stands) the last time i visited. as for the meters, u can try the steps i mentioned in the earlier posts(cheaper) while u scout around.:)

yup, can get it. i think the price should be around 60-70. beware of the cheaper ones, they wear out fast and make it easier for bike thieves to ride away. as a golden rule, use additional locks ( padlock for gates-a real turn off)or a bike cover which nobody bothers to look into!

Rzboy where can i get a good Rachet set???

any hardware shops preferably at jln besah rd ( behind ah boy). they carry a wide range of tools n equipments. go for the japanese or european brands. they definitely cost more but last a lifetime if used properly. the cheap ones (china, taiwan etc) will last only a few times, after that they are crap!!! i have tools that are 20 over yrs n they still do the job perfectly.:)

hi bro, long time no see! from my experience, the boss is a snob n cutthroat. i once enquired abt the rd350b he had (complete bike). it was going for ard 5-6k 10 yrs back. as i was not loaded back then, i just left. fast forward to 2004 i was there on my usual " kaypo" rounds and i still saw the bike. only this time it was missing alot of stuff n rotting away in one corner. when asked, it was again quoted the price mentioned above. i just shook my head n left. no point talking to ppl like him. i also had friends who were chopped by him for bike servicing n other stuff! based on info, that bike is still "Rusting In Peace" down there. word of advice, u really need an eye for detail to spot that elusive bike.

Hello Rzboy,

You are 100% correct about this shop "Sin Boon". I also saw this ëarly RD parked out back but I was told by the balding shop owner that is was actually a 250........ and NOT for sale. I asked about 2 months ago! He would only say that the bike was part of his "collection" and would never sell it. Yes, many parts were missing so he must be selling the parts off at a high price, but not the entire bike in one go. I think this is a 1973 model........ may be a 74 at most.

A word to the wise, he also has a RD350LC there but it needs a lot of work. The meters are TZM150 and the COE is less than 1 year more. He told me the bike price is $2500!!!!! The COE now is about $1500 if not more for an old bike..... how to buy like that? These people are just too much!

I am looking for the older RD350B or even better the RZ or RD500LC ( a dream bike of mine), any idea where I can find one? I have not seen any on the road in a decade or more, but word around town is that a bike shop in Alexandra called Raceworkz has 2 of them!!

Any leads of info you can provide with regards to the 500 V4 2-Stroke will be sincerely appreciated.

i do agree sin boon cut throat..i just go there to see classic bikes he have..and lots of spareparts on his shelf. some are at a afforadable price and some are really2 cut throat price..i dont fancy going there to fix my bike..fix a fork brace, i was charged $4 bucks.

darn!... saw this rd tong, with a pirate paintwork in woodlands..classy and fierce..

Be a sexy rider.

hi bro, there's a guy called retro7 letting go his rd350b in the classified section. his pricing is reasonable, so do check it out. as for the rd 500s u saw at racewerkz, they belong to a customer and i don't think he is selling any time soon. they are part of his personal collection. most of us know who he is by now.
