Honda CRF 250L

Been reading some reviews about this bike and they are very positive. Good handling, modern looks, competitive pricing and consumption around 25km/L.

Seems like a very good commuting bike with some decent ability to provide some off road fun on the weekends if needed.

I just checked with Boon Siew and they said they are still negotiating to bring it in with no dates provided. Anyone knows if any parallel importers will be bringing this in?

Come on, man, you are comparing Honda and Yamaha reliable low maintenance road legal dual sports with a Suzuki high maintenance lean and mean race machine

oops, apologies, the suzook specs looked too good to be for road use.

Yammy on the other hand cost like 14-15 OTR ? so in differebt cat altogether ? Didn't see the Yammy at HL webpage though. Parallel I supposed?

I asked HL about this bike before and they said they are not bringing it but I have seen it in a car park. PI must b bringing them?

likewise, i seen it once at my neighborhood at serangoon north.

Specs wise its much higher than the Honda, but recalled long time back some guy mentioned 14-15 otr.

so guess its u pay for what u get. But if exclusive to PI w/o AD, i dont feel safe. Like at the mercy of that particualt PI to mark up at their whim & fancy for bike & the spares...

No, I would not call it a different category, as the market is the same for these models, just that Honda decided to make it cheaper and Yamaha has better specs. There is also Kawa KLX250S, which is supposed to be cheaper than WR250R, but not with the infamous Kawasaki agent in Singapore.

I completely agree with the infamous agent. What to do? Monopoly. This is how consumers suffer as a result. That's why for me, when I think Jap bike, I only think Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha. KR is the exception due to wide avail of parallel sources. Heard that the infamous monopoly also applies to Malaysia.

I am currently racing a Honda CBR250R in the MSS races at Sepang. The CRF250L and M shares the same fuel injected engine.

As of now they allow us to put in aftermarket cams... and the bike behaves differently.

There are quite a few aftermarket performance parts for this engine... big bore, slipper clutch, high comp pistons, race cams, ECUs..

Am waiting for the M to show up... gonna get the first one... mod it up and kick some 400s at Pasir Gudang.

Thank you bro, just the info most of us need. It should be as competitive as a crf250r when these modes are applied.

I'm doing 34km/ltr during running in both city and highway riding.

I believe able to achieve 40/ltr easily as most report averagely doing a about 90miles/gallon that works out about 43km/ltr.

Much better that my ex scooter 150cc!
