hi dudes, got my ride today... :)

super engine... took it out of Albert and went one big round s'pore.. ahah

got a question though, dunno if u can help...

i noticed on slow speed steering... eg. u-turns, sharp corners... the moment i start turning... the bike wants to turn more, it falls into the corner that i have to counter steer to bring it back on line... left right the same...

i worry dunno is it the handling screwed up or my tires or bcos of the weight of the bike or something else... or is this normal?

put in the fast eddy risers today... although the handling still a little weird, but much better control than before...

abit more comfortable and slightly easier to muscle the handle bar around... let me try it longer i'll feedback again...

anyone else has them?

thanks dudes..

any of you all put any mods on it? like after market exhausts or power commander?

and do you guys have a problem with the FI light? mine will come on after riding for a couple minutes, and it stays red all the time... no power loss, but just irritating... brought to bike shop also cannot figure out...

okie, for your FI, i experience same as yours after my Genting trip recently. Mine was FI lights up after a couple of minutes but when stationary, it goes to 2 long blink and 5 short blink.... funny thing is if you kill engine and start back, it is ok. after riding couple of minutes, it comes back again. No power loss or other problems.

Okie, now the solution, my regular mechenic took 3 days to rectify, test and trail and found my injection head very dirty(just clean), air filter also dirty with a dead cockroach dead inside (clean), petrol filter replaced cos too dirty with rust ($70), clean rusty tank, pump hose rubber torn (change) and syncronise setting after cleaning cylinda (he check for possible FI problem) and finally he change 5 knock sensars, 4 abt $140 each and the final one was close to $200, after days of checking and test rides to confirm, finally was solve but with a whopping bill of $853........

Bike feels like new but wallet is in ICU recovering from truma..... and for me, i just sneezed a couple of times cos the mechenic curse me and swear that he will not do FI problem again cos too time consuming to check for the actual problem......kekekeke :cheeky:

So where you went to see Doc? Looi's?

I MAYBE AN IDIOT....... BUT I AM NOT DUMB............

And Mechanic did try ways to help me save by cleaning this and that first and test ride and all and finally had narrow down to knock sensers and he even try to help me save there by replacing and testing the various sensers before confirming the change.... thus the 3-4 days wait......

Roger is using a legal after market pipe, check with him...... another rider in Marine Parade is using a 4-1 micron too...... and daredevil rider..... he is .....

mine was the Ah Hong guy at Albert... he just did a quick check, couldn't tell the problem, but found a different problem instead... tell me my battery must change cos when starting engine, the voltage goes down to 10v...

anyways, your FI light thing is same as mine... once moving a couple mins it lights up... then when i stop and put down the sidestand it goes away... put up the sidestand its 2 long and 3 short...

so for you, the actual problem is the 5 sensors infront of the air filters right? under the tank?

think i'll try a diy cleanup of the sensors see how... almost $900 bucks peng san man... whaha

btw, where did you go for medical checkup?

Well.. i got both the power commander and aftermarket exhaust.. hmm.. very good performance.. but the fuel consumption is.. WOAH!!..

anyway, the FI light u fellas are talking about.. i used to have that prob too.. exactly the same.. plus, my bike have a "choking" prob.. at 1st, i did like what u said.. switched off and on and the lights goes off.. but there was 1 fine day when my bike died on me.. no matter what i do, just can't get the bike to start.. after i arranged for towing, it suddenly become alive again.. at the bikeshop.. the mechanic diagnosed that the FI cable is intermintent.. the cable of connecting the ECU and the Fuel Pump is connected by the clamp.. over time, the clamp got loose, resulting in the lights and choke.. that explained the "choking" ride i experienced..

Ah Hong is just too busy to check the FI, go to your respective mechanic. Mine is the sensors under the tank ya :) ........ try to clean it if you can, and face the socket upright to prevent scooping of rain water or tie it tight. Mechenic says that ours is naked bike and doesnt have fairing to prevent water from running in to the electronics so he made all the sensors stand up right (se-D-ah position) so as not to contain water...... he says to plug in/out sensor by sensor to check, like in the circuit board trip in order to determine the sensor fault...... but remember to test ride too, cos mine before the final sensor was change, it took longer for the FI to blink after each test ride......

Mine was operated by Doc Ah Hwee of Kim Keat Motors in AMK Autopoint :thumb:

or you can try Doc Meng Tong of Looi's as all big bike go to him :) but pls call to check availiability on his surgery schedule .........

Roger, you lucky devil, my mechanic says that if the FI lights up and wont start, its a ECU problem which will cost you abt $1K to replace ... hahaha..... change of ignition for the HISS system (if you lose your keys) is abt $1.4K by Boon Siew :)

I MAYBE AN IDIOT....... BUT I AM NOT DUMB............

Oh yes try to be more careful in choosing the Mechenic as many will opt you to change parts to save time and not check thoroughly..... too time consuming....

thanks for all the info dudes...

i found something on the web can try...

From the www.hondax11.com site... same problem too, 2 long blinks and 3 short ones... possibly a faulty O2 Sensor heater or dirty contact at its connector.

http://sg.geocities.com/philiplolc/tmp/o2sensor.jpg

do the cheapo way first, spend money one later, progress package not enuff.. :cheeky:

anyway no rush, just FI light only now... as long as later dun blow up my ECU.. :)

yah.. well.. quite lucky in a way.. managed to isolate the problem to the wires.. correct me if i'm wrong.. cos i was told that the PC is a stand in for the ECU.. anybody knows anything like that??

Roger, i tot PC can adjust tuning to petrol consumption too? anyway u bought it yourself or from the ex-owner?

thought so too.... i sent my bike for tuning.. TWICE.. but still the same.. very high consumption.. basically, fuel consumption of a UK model is bad enough.. putting these mods on increases the FC.. jap models are more fuel economical.. heard from somebody.. 15km/ltr for UK model, all stock.. mine, 12.5km/ltr with mods.. :weep:
