you wan can get a Softcopy in CDrom formatt from gd ol' phil ... the man who you are eyeing on the Twins.... and arse ... haha .... alternatively you can go to our regular workshop in AMK industrail ParkII ... Pilotboi left a soft copy with the i think ....

anyways I saw a pic of I dunno whose X with the aftermarket endcans and dual headlights. Very nice.

 

I havent seen an X on the road for ages.

 

Anyway, I already dumped a load of cash at the shop I mentioned. The one selling the X.

 

they tell me I will be able to take it within the week.

 

they put in new eo ( forgot what brand, purple color bottle, they say its good. I think bloody cheap pariah brand), plugs, oil filter, pads. I asked for bt020 cos the X is a tyre shredder. Softer compunds sure cannot tahan.

 

I'll keep you boys updated. We'll gather for kopi soon.

the purple oil is probably Royal Purple ... should be ok ba ...

and tyres i am surprise that there is still BT020 .... i used the tyres previously ... VERY VERY VERY lasting tyres .... currently using the BT021 cos i understand that BT020 is discontinued ba ......

kim keat motors? my sis lives in toa payoh lor 7. which shop is this?

 

collected the bike on friday, got home, parked it. next day, wanted to go to jb with the mrs, skali she spotted the left fork leak. the stuff just gushing out.:slapforehead:

 

rode it to e shop and they said they would have it done by monday. foc they said. :deal:

 

eo they put on delphi 20w50. Semi syn. stingy buggers. never tried this. good ah?

 

the bike silky smooth. Fantastic. Really. Trust honda to come up with briiliant things like this. people were riding this back in 1999. it must have made them feel like gods. one bloody decade ago.

still cant get over the fact that this is NINE (9!) years old technology. Easily can toe to toe with comtemporary bikes.

Some body said something about spring? truly, this machine makes one feel like a newbie all over again. like a kid with a fantastic new toy. but seriously, an actual newbie might have his hands quite full with this thing.

 

the 'THING' is very very impressive.

 

tried pulling all the gears on the expressway. saw the speedo indicating "unusually odd" numbers. besides it being slightly windy, the bike felt concrete.

 

'young chap' on a shiny new red 600 supersport poked me in the arse while i was cruising in 5th at 80. so, just opened the throttle and kept pulling and pulling away like nobodies business. I never saw him again. Still think of him fondly.:angel:

 

and the front link brakes are wonderful bloodyful like a professional ol timer biker was at the control braking for you.

 

equipment is solid and can last. the engine is superb. i never understood why some bros kept their blackbirds when busas were more terror. now i know. and the brakes. the sofa seat. the switches and controls. all honda quality. the style seems euro ang moh-fied. :dot: which may or may not be good at the same time.

Like ikea for example. Some of the stuff they got there is very stylo and ingenious.......... and some of it is a bit disturbing. o_O

 

but seriously, top gear in 60 and then open the throttle and pull all the way to kingdom come? :faint:

 

noticed quite a few glances. the security guard uncle riding bicycle also impressed.

 

you guys must have heard this quite a few times:

 

"whoaaa... sooo big? got the big plastic thing down there.. wahssat?...whoooaaaaa.... ekzorst got 2? TWO? whoaaaa.... how many cc? 1137? so much? whoaaaa....."

Bro hows the FI blink? you got the number of blinks liao? Normally you start engine FI no light up ya? untill you start to move .. maybe say 4 traffic lights with RPM at abt 3-4 then it lights up and stays permanent there ya? nxt thing you should do is park aside but dun kill engine. Put to neutral and put side stand down, then the FI will blink, next count the blink .. it will go from Long blink to Short blink. Long denotes 10 and short is 1. normally alot of us kena is 25 blinks (b.l.i.n.k. ... b.l.i.n.k. .... blink,blink,blink,blink,blink) which is the Knock Sensor.. no power loss or anything .. all mechanics say this is common for blackbird and X11, no point changing cos it will come back again ... but got ways to rectify lah ... so yours is how many blinks?

KS detects the knocks and ping inside the combustion chamber,once detected,it retards the ignition timing to a certain degree.I believe most of the X-11 tends to ignore it.maybe due to bad gas or the chambers are full of carbon.

Thethe price for the change of the 2 items is actually there ....ECM is the worse cos if your bike gt HISS, the HISS gotta change with the ECM too ... between, one of the X11 did change the ECM at Boon Siew and its about $1.5K Plus so your friend one plus Harness is ok ... :)

Dun worry Pistolwhip, its not gonna explode but i remember that when mine appear, i had the same feeling as you .... :cheeky:

 

Well, i do agree with Greysnail, about the fast thing in a way keke ...

A mechanic told me and Roger that its about the gas octane problem. Were you using 98 octane gas? cos he says anything else other then 98 will screw the combustion which will lead to the FI lighting up.

He recommended that we use V-power or 98 octane gas and blast /drag the bike ...mine disppear liao ... cos i travel from AMK to CCK for the past 2 mths to work so i drag and blast my way on the SLE to PIE to KPE to reach CCK. as to how long or how many fills before it disappear, i fail to moitor(cos i wasnt actually preparing to clear the FI when i blast on the highway) but it did disappear.

And as for the drag, my normal riding style is not more then RPM5 -6 on the Spore Highway ..normally, i stay at RPM4 ..Speed wise, i was travelling btw 120 to 140 kekeke ...
