Why not actually USE the two headlights that come with the bike?

 

You see better at night and others see you better as well. Twin headlights are much more visible to cagers than a single... especially a single when the other one is out.

Hey man, cool factor ranks very very high in many people's books.

 

E.g.

Don't wear full face cos people say small bike rider looks weird

User super dark visor, then at night ride with visor up

Cover up 1 headlight to emulate endurace race bike (aka Suzuka 8 hour)

Remove mirrors to emulate MotoGP bikes

What's so cool about one burned out headlight?

 

To me it looks like someone who doesn't care about maintaining their bike, OR,

 

Someone who believes they are saving wear and tear on their alternator by not running with a full set of lights.

Beats me. You'll be suprised at the things people do just to look good/cool.

 

Some bikes have 1 lamp for low beam, and the other for high beam (ala Ducati 916). By covering the highbeam lens, the endurance racer look is achieved.

 

But it sure sucks when one tries to beam the joker trying to turn right in front of you at a junction and realise you've got a cool cover over the high beam lamp.

That lens cover is meant for track use, and not meant to make your bike look cool.

i spotted a cub (not sure which model) with red color headlights speeding along TPE at about 1am a week ago. if u're that joker PLS go remove them. i was wondering what was coming my way in my rear view mirror. dun distract other road users like that. n i remember ur p-plate creeping out from under ur rear license plate when u went pass me.

 

i'll pray that u'll get stopped by the police or ROV cos i think thats the only way for u to learn.
