Shah Alam Circuit

I was looking at the Johore map not long ago and I realised there is actually a Shah Alam race circuit. Upon some googling online, I realised the circuit actually hosted a few major events like WSB and MotoGP in the past. I think it is infact about the same distance away from Singapore compared to PG/Johor Circuit, but I don't hear anyone mentioning about it.

 

Is the circuit still in operation and does anyone actually visit Shah Alam circuit? If so, why the lack of popularity and people rather go up to Sepang and never tried Shah Alam?

A quick search on Google shows that the circuit is no longer in operation. It is also near KL (in Selangor).

Bro Shah Alam circuit is also known as Batu Tiga..

 

Its much further than sepang..

Shah Alam Batu Tiga??

 

Before Sepang was developed, we used to go for the trackday at Shah Alam. That was in 1997/98. Another great track.

My last trackday there was back in 2003. Wish it didn't have to close down. A good track for beginners. not so hilly. My 1st MotoGP there was in 1996.
