But is there any mt09 with ABS braking in Spore now? Because I asked a few bike shops and they said there is no ABS for this bike. Anybody can confirm this? I am waiting for hong leong to reply my email too.

Hahahha. Totally agree! Fz6 still the best to ride in SG traffic. Not that hot unless gt jam. I can drag my gear all day long and not worrying abt the FC. I still love my fz6 compare to my mt09. Mt09 drag abit only, my FC is like 15km/L. Shag balls.

My Fazer 6 is going to be 10 years old next year and thinking of getting this as a replacement haa haa.... now thinking again.

i just dropped by HL and saw there was a silver and blue color MT09

Silver tank and blue forks. ive tried finding that online, but there are not color schemes like that available online. is that a custom color scheme or is that some limited edition?

is it only cosmetics difference or are there any hardware difference as well?

very tempted to get the MT09. But at the same time also considering the MT07.

any comments guys? should i just spend that few hundred more to get the MT09 as oppose to the MT07? the only good thing going for the MT07 is the $350 top up promo to get a full Akrapovic exhaust. im just wondering if there is a significant performance difference between the 2.

It's a new color scheme 2015 race blue. Hardware all the same as other color scheme.

Do note that mt09 has been recalled for a jerky fuel mapping problem. I think hl bikes still have this problem

chances are they will update the map/replace the ECU FOC if the recalls are official...

thinking about MT09 or SR400 for daily commute...hmmm

For a safer ride, get the 09.abs n tube tyres better

Ya the ABS is definitely a big plus for me... but that retro look of the SR is just sweet.. :p

If u have to do sudden brakes without abs, what are your chances of survival? If tyres kena puncture, tubeless tyres will immediately throw u off the bike.

Sorry. I mean tyres on sr400 are tube types. It kena puncture on expressways, sure skid

That's an overstatement. Do u know how many bikes are still on tube?? Even some of the premier models are and many riders swear by tube tyres... Esp those offroaders and adv tourers.

I owned 11 different models throughout the years and only 1 comes with ABS.... The rest of the time I rely on my fingers and feet to brake. Once ppl rely on technology too much like ABS and TCS... u'll be like a fish outta water once u are thrown with an old school motorcycle where the only thing in control is the rider.

True.but a tube tyre will immediately puncture n a rider will lose control, right?

Without abs, u brake too hard, will skid. Right?

True that tube tyre will deflate quickly once punctured. Whether to lose control or not... that's a whole separate question... contributory maybe, but not definite.

Why would u even brake 'too hard'? This is rider problem. No a bike issue.

Normal riding no one wants to brake hard n skid. But what about braking hard to avoid an accident?

U try riding a bike at express way speeds, then kena puncture, n see whether u can still control the bike?

I do that plenty.... cos I ride like I'm running away from TP everyday. LOL

I think riders have to know your braking point. That's how I learn to ride. Not to just press as hard as possible to avoid accident to rely on abs. That's the problem of many riders... thinking to press as hard as possible it'll slow more and I think both of us know once the wheels locked the braking distance extends and kaboom....!! Crash....

Candence braking. This is what I learn and apply... try Google and find out about this braking technique.
