Got to ride the MT-09 this afternoon.

It's AWESOME!!!

Lightweight and slick. Natural riding posture with wide bars for easy handling. Tonnes of torque and not for the faint hearted. It'll easily pop a wheelie at 3rd gear if u know how. Brakes are firm and poise. Just need to tap with a finger. Sounds awesome too even with stock exos.

A very capable street fighter. Not for armatures definitely.

One nasty fault though.... the position of the honk button sucks big time. Wtf the designers were thinking I have no idea. Perhaps they had extra long thumb.

Yeah! Lots of internet review recommend just leaving the power setting to B mode. I guess my family can wait it out for the fairing/ semi faired model to come. Shall get my riding experience on a much less powerful bike - Kawa ER6F. The MT-09 is definitely not for new riders to Class 2. No wonder they make the parallel twin MT-07 also!

For the over zealous newbies or inexperienced this MT-09 will be a handful. Being a naked bike also means the rider will face the full brunt of the elements. Was advised to do 2 fingers clutch so that I can still hold the grips when blasting... this is not something most are used to. Luckily the clutch is rather soft but on track fingers confirm will sore unless install quick shifter.

agreed on the handful part. i personally wouldnt recommend this bike for those over zealous inexperienced rider cause the torque is on the high side eventhough the bike is light & nimble. Perhaps the coming MT-07 would be a wiser choice. Just my humble opinion :)

Anyway, this 2 aftermarket MT-09 are brilliant!

Just read the news that COE quota for motorcycles reduced. Many in the motorcycle industry are questioning LTA's reasoning behind lowering the 2 wheelers' quota. Are we contributing to the traffic congestion?!?

Regardless, i have made my booking.

theres minimal vibration on the seat, definitely not like scramblers..ahah.

As for the Gianelli full system, was inform street legal, guess that means LTA approved? I believe all aftermarket exhaust for this bike gonna be full system as its one piece. Anyway, forgot to ask the price..lol

was thinking of that. but it won't be easy to reach the insides of the frame and swing arm. and won't look as good as factory black.

i like orange. but not sure which color will be available in my shipment in mid-late mar.
