I m asking this cos i took my superfour up to Yong Peng yesterday, doing abt 130km/hr on the avg but could hit 160km/hr at 1 point. There was box n pillion when i went up to Yong Peng but the trip was kind of tiring to go at 130km/hr. So i m actually exploring into getting other powerful bikes for my future touring up north

Can u elaborate on yr tiring? Going 130 on super 4 shd be very comfortable too.

I seriously had great fun when i rode with de guys to Ipoh last year... but like i said u nid to endure the wind buffeting...

There was no other bikes with me when I went Yong Peng but there was a pillion though. What I meant was if it could go up at 150-160hr/hr comfortably, then travelling time could b shorten n less tiring

My bike is not optimised to go too fast, usually can only hit 120-130km/hr in Singapore so that is y I said 130km/hr is tiring as I was pushing her yesterday to 160km/hr but bike was shaking already at that speed

The wind buffering n hot sun contributed to the tiring part n furthermore, this was my first time travelling up north, I was unprepared for all these things

Supposed to go Yong Peng eat fishball noodles, in the end ate kfc cos too hot n tiring

The bike can do 150-160 but u will be stressing de bike oredi if u are 2 up.

140 or so wud b a more optimal figure. During the last trip with 2 up my max speed was 158 but i din maintain dat speed as i dun wanna stress it too much. Wind factor oso another concern. Its so tiring fighting the wind all de time.

If u r looking into cruising at 150-160 comfortably, u will be better off probably with class 2 scooter or best a touring/sports touring bike.

Hi I went to Singapore on Saturday to Regina and Ah Boy to buy rear bridgestone Hoop tyre but he told me the price was 188SG plus installation. I think is not worth it as not much different from Malaysia. So I bought myself AGV Rossi full face helmet at Regina for SG250. My travelling back was smooth with not much of wind noise compare to GIVI open face helmet when I rode from Melaka to Singapore. Travelling at speed between 140kph to 160kph. Can any one tell me where to get Bridgestone Hoop tyre 1 set and how much there. Plan to make another trip by end of this month. Would like to buy size 160/60 for rear. Singapore.jpg

Thanks and regards.

scooter can be relaxing... but not good enough for high speed tourings.

Super 4 is a relatively good bike to go up north. have used it to Thailand a number of times already. always clearing meter from time to time while on the way there.

mine was 1 up and no box

FC during run-in can be erratic.... you should monitor your FC only after run-in. Total tank 12 litres. So you gauge from there. I almost pump 10 - 10.5 litres everytime depending on whether a petrol koisk is nearby when the fuel gauge starts to blink. More or less, I get 25km/l when I pump shell 95.

Do note tire pressure also affects your FC not forgetting riding style too....

Sorry Bro I don't know who is the distributor for Bridgestone tire here.

I'm replying your post because I think you will not be able to find a set for hoop tire as it doesn't come in size suitable for our front. Furthermore, you won't be able to find 160/60 too cos only only radial tire come in this size and only Bridgestone Battlax SC comes in radial and a set for your front 150/70-15 and 160/60-14 for rear.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Cheers

Kongfu

Kongfu maybe the front tyre you trying to mention size is 120/70X15 right. Just rang Ah Boy he said next month there will be a 50% sale. I never know that ah boy does 50% sale before.
