sold my bike but LTA still issue me summon

i want to ask if my bike previously was mod illegally but didn't use and didnt got caught, but sold to motorshop and motorshop sold to new owner. now new owner has been issued a summon and he appealed now LTA that i'm the one that mod it, now LTA issue me a summon saying i mod the bike illegally. any one experience this before?

I believe it becomes the new owner's problem after a few weeks of ownership no? Got a few cases of people get stopped by LTA for illegal mods on second-hand bikes and when the excuse that "the previous owner did it" comes up, the officer says you have a few weeks or a month to check before it becomes the new owner's problem.

Sometimes? More like all the time. You put Brembo brake pump on your bike, they say illegal or that you stole that brake pump. -_-

 

Much of the LTA are made up of people who know **** about bikes, they just have class 2 thats all, can't tell the difference between modded and not modded, can't tell if the mod is better or not better, this goes from bottom to top.

This problem's quite easily resolved. Just write to them at [email protected], explain the problem to them, and ask them to check their records for the date of transfer for the bike.

 

Don't worry, they have records for everything. We live in a police state after all.
