You can get some inspiration from him wat...haha

I not so rich ah... :giddy: If I could do up my bike like his, I would have already bought a GSXR600 or CBR600F4i...

That said, the SV is an incredibly fun bike, nothing less than the GSXR or CBR can give!

wah lau, got suit some more, don't play play.

but go track we need someone experienced to bring us there and show us the ropes. If its just a ride then everyone can join in, so maybe track day will take some time to organize....

anyway, im on holiday in KL, today nothing to do so went to some bike shops:

seems like the new SVs are quite popular here, there were no less than 20 in this showroom (650s and 1000s combined)

yo guys....

i juz went to LOOI'S yest and found that the last remaining SV1000S, copper colour. its been there as long as i can remember...... but never even give the bike a look..... but since reading on some bike magazine in europe, its seem that the bike is oso very popular there.

the riding position is almost simliar to my hayabusa, with good thick seat cushion and comfortable position position. on the whole, the bike looks very small. the sale person told me there's onli 4 SV1000s in spore and thats the onli one left.

the machine price is onli 14K!!!! plus my insurance and other misc. cost. the bike is 16.5k on the road!!!!!!

very tempting, if i dun haf my current bike, i would haf oledi paid downpayment for it.

:weep:

btw how's the FC for SV? anyone noes?

If I am right, it should have the TLR engine... so consumption should be round there... say about 15Km/ltr...

I was tempted by the bike few years back, but I only want a SV"650"S so road tax and insurance will be lower... so after waiting for GuanHo to bring in the 650 for sometime I managed to find a 2nd hand 650.

15 km/hr!!! hmm...

when I last owned a SV, but it's a SV400S, my fuel consumption on Sg roads is ard 25-29km/l. On the NSHW ranging between 140km/hr - 160km/hr it's 22-25km/l!

With a full system some more eh. maybe should do some tuning?

Yours got non-restrictive full system leh...

My Monster with Termis gives average 2 to 3km/litre better mileage than with stock exhaust too.

More power, more sound, better response, better fuel economy... Now fuel crisis, should let us use open pipes to save petrol! :D

According to owner oversea, it runs about 120miles before fuel indicator start flashing another 70 miles to empty... so 17ltr tank.. doing math it will end up about 17.94km/ltr

but an owner with a full race exhuast system will hit 160Km before fuel light turns on. So doing math again will equals ~15 - 16km/ltr

refer to fuel consumption by SV1000 owner..

I'm confused man...so does a 'racing' exhaust system improve or deprove fuel consumption?

check with all the kakies who added after market exhuast lah... My own opinion, I think, after market exhuast increase consumption.

Power comes from petrol, not from thin air.

I think it depends. For stock exhaust, especially for the SV, its very restrictive. I have seen the dyno graph on the toque gain(for sv650) after fitting a aftermarket exhaust w/o tuning. Very big difference. Perhaps its the tuning for for richer fuel mixture that results in the higher fuel consumption?
