Harleys are still more expensive than metric bikes, that's partly why I went back to Japanese bikes. The other reason is Japanese bike parts are still easily available.

 

Although I'm still riding metric, I still have a heart for Harleys. So there's still hope for me to change back to Harley when the timing is right

 

I'm still in Australia and I'm not going back to SGP to pack the rest of my stuff yet. I'll see how next year schedule goes......

I am only 168cm with weak knees. with a bit of mod, i am very sure height challenged guys like us can reverse or even push the bike standing . i hear of carb ones which supposed has that HD refined sound. so probably will not think of fuel injection ones. good luck.

WOw. comparatively with the honda ctx or nc 700, i would say that HD is a great value for money. for me , I beleive buying second hand . most of the time , i noticed previous owners may have spruced up their prized possession but for some reason or another, had to sell away under a bargain price.

We who ride harley should and at least have some guts to ride our rides with freedom and not to worry about this white dogs stopping us and sending us for inspections.

Why is it illegal to have our bikes custom and having pipes like screaming eagle illegal..?

Not up to European standards..

American makes and follow European standards...?

Then don't bring in the harley..

The way I see it is that in singapore harley riders are mostly posers with *****...

Afraid of everything....

It's a cruiser for goodness sake...

Ride out ride far...

Don't just dress up the bikes and put up the vest and just pose around by the coffee shop..

Probably Starbucks coz a bit up mah...

We all must work together send emails and emails to all the departments and minister of transport and seek approval of the pipes for the bikes and customization...

Not just pay and pay the bloody gahmen..

Where's the freedom for this riders...?

Someone told me, this bikes nice to ride but no choice if get stop by LTA just pay the fine and also appeal for leniency...

To me this is just bloody stupid you ride and enjoy the music but afraid and pay the fine. It's time to stop this nonsense and fight for our rights.

If all of us work together send the emails to LTA, individual MP, NEA, minister of transport and question them as of what is illegal.. Be it emission coz for motorbikes there's hardly fumes of pollution as its too little to detect, and how about noise pollution..? What about the Maseratis, lambos, and Ferraris...?

Some of us pay more road tax comparing to some cars..

One example I had was with my sprint vespa..

Caught on camera that this bike emits smoke.. Was ask to pay fine of $70..

I send these emails on what should I do to stop the smoke. They told me to use smokeless 2T..

What the hell there's no such thing as smokeless 2T..

So they told me to use less 2T..

In my argument I told them before renewal of COE, road tax and insurance, I've already send the bike for inspection and now they said this bike is polluting the environment.

What stupid reasoning..

So my argument again was how about the seventh month every year during hungry ghost..( no Offence to other races)

Well I ask for the explanation to this scenario and till now no answer and my fine of coz till date no further notice..

This just shows that they can pursue a case or just fine us but if we question them, they have no say to this. We as Singaporeans have been moulded to be citizens to listen and do as they say so now it's time to question them what they have been doing.. Nothing..

Comparing us to the other countries is just unfair..

We are a small island not a country easy to manage.. Just be the bigger bully and control the crowd but now the crowd is getting bigger and smarter so stop calling this independent, democratic.. Independent and from what..? Democratic from whom...

If they not send you any official letter, your fine will be compounded after the due date. Compound a few times and you'll have to go court. Better get an official closure. If in doubt, pay first. They will refund you if you are acquitted.
