how to convince a nice gal to sit as pillion on the Rocker??? hahaha... looks sooo dangerous that i also wont dare to be the pillion.... :giddy:

but i like the Fat Bob!! same colour as this year's St Bob!

Yeah man~ the pillion seat looks like just hanging by a small piece of metal, fierce. Definately eye catching~ :shades:

Rocker is a looker, your ready made raked out custom from the fectory!!!

But I like the lean and mean look of the Fat Bob as well.

Like the models launched last year, they have done a brilliant job again.

:thumb:

But in the mean time, I am still sad about the Road King Custom

Anyone pillions regularly on a sportster? wanna share your views?

Not too sure what you mean... I pillion my wife pretty often on my Sporty

Intially, I had a slim, sleek seat. The vibrations were tough on the missus's behind, so I changed to a touring seat. No complains about comfort since then.

(btw, mine is a rigid mount engine)

My wife also says her ankles tend to get very warm whenever the bike is stationary and she is wearing sandals. Exhausts runs pretty near the pillion footrest.

Ultimately, my ex-phantom was more pillion friendly then my current Sportster.

oic. cos i wans thinking, the sportster is more build for a single seater from what I see and the pillion seat if any is kinda small. plus a backrest sorts of spoils the outlook. plus all the handbags and backpacks and stuff, like ah pek and wife on RXK after going market. heh. no offense.

I couldnt agree more:thumb:

Sportsters are meant for only 1 Rider!! :cheeky:

If anyone wans to pillion, its much better for both the rider & pillion, to be on a BT :p

actually i've pretty much tot about how i'm gonna be riding (with a backpack daily) to solve all the problems. Just lose the chance to pick up cais along the street (:( damn)

RK will be something further down this road definitely, just not now

Thanks, and i guess I'll see u at the chalet?

I had the leather covered hard saddlebags installed on my 1200L. I find it sufficient for most items that I carry and need to lock on my bike. I can even squeeze a jacket with back protector in.

I also have a mini backrest, not for the pillion, but for mounting my bag when I go to work. It is also used to carry a spare helmet and to lock my full face helmet on my bike. I hardly ever need to use a backpack or carry my helmets around. With this configuration, I find the Harley more practical than my ex-beemer with two side panniers. I can even report to ICT with all the barang barang properly strapped on.

1992: Suzuki GN125

1995: Suzuki Intruder 400

2000: BMW R1100R

2006: Harley Davidson Sportster 1200 Low

2008: BMW F800ST

2011: BMW R1200R Classic (still riding)

2015: Harley Davidson Low Rider

Lunloon, if I am not mistaken, you bought the orange 1200R with OHLIN's rear shocks? That might be a problem with rigid-mount hard saddlebags... remember to check for compatibility if you are going for those.

hmmm.... everyone tells me my bike is loud, but personally I feel that its actually quite muted (unless I blast throttle)... is this a common occurrence?

Bystander gets the full effect of the Screamin' Eagles, but rider does not?
