Any idea where can I find big bore kit for Monster 400..? Perhaps to 540cc, 580cc or 620cc..? Kallang cycle say have but I must search online...

Next Outing??? when where??? I wanna go... i use to be from wave riders, so shiok, 30+ wave ride together. if only can happen w Ducati monster... maybe 20+ ride together,... the music it creates... woah.... shiok.

FYI.... by replacing a big bore, you need to get ready this in advance.

1. Strip of engine cost SGD$300.00 +-

2. Big Bore Kit SGD$1200 +- depending of the cc.

 

Are you ready for that?

I might have source for that if you're still keen.

I gave up on asking riders here to come out for a ride.

It never ever happen.. even if it does, I hardly ever ride with more than 3 monsters.

Yes I'm very keen of the big bore kit of coz 580cc is the best as wat I heard it has lots of power.. 620cc is also fine for me.. Well I just change to carbon exhaust lately.. not sure of brand but got it bloody cheap from Kalang Cycle. He say its Termis but no logo on it so err.. its very loud though... Anyway I hardly log on as always busy with wk... restaurant line is always equal to no life. Pls call or sms me @ 9070855. Thanks.

Maxima extra is very good for sure.. Only brand I trust so far.. its fully syn its very smooth on gear changing and good for Singapore heavy traffic... Motul is also as good.. so its up to u..

I thougt Ducati advocates Shell Advance? Even has a sticker on the engine somewhere. I reckon doesn't matter which ones so long as within specified viscosity and weight.

prevs i wanted to big bore it...but then its not advisable as when u need to maintain it, spares come in a set. u might not need all the spares.

I tried Shell before and now on Maxima. Both are pretty alright. Oh yeah...Amsoil is pretty good too.

Hey Kish, your mailbox full la, can't PM you.

 

Anyway, water does collect at the rim of the tank filler under the cap, and when you open the cap it just pours in before you can do anything.

 

If you're worried, drain your tank then leave it to dry in the hot sun for afew hours. Meanwhile, you might want to check your carbs, turn the little screw at the bottom to drain any water that might have accumilated. Stop when you smell petrol.

I prefer to buy a bigger cc engine and plough it in. While I keep the original.

So I am looking at 750cc engine swap. Which shop in SGP has the expertise to get the engine and do the transplant. Anyone?

Randy, it u r going illegal, u might as well go all the way. Why stay 620cc.

It is like robbing a bank, taking $2 and $2 million will yield the same penalty.
