Hey guys, sorry this took a while but finally got to take some pics. Have not sprayed the pan though but thought I'd share some of the things I have done to my Monty.

 

• Fully adjustable bar-end mirrors ($18 a pair from Giant)
  
• Home-made Tail Chop
  
• Belly pan from Ducati Salzburg (with some shaving. yet to be painted yellow)
  
• Ducati corse transparent tank pad (not pasted yet)
  

 

 

Next mods: (not in order)

Vanity mods

- spray frame (black/red/chevy orange/gold | undecided)

- yellow & black rims (yellow inner)

- yellow rim stripes

- dusty charcoal spray for engine

- dark silver clutch cover

- removal of side-pods

 

Performance mods

- bar-risers and handle bar (preferably rizoma)

- switch to pod filters (is this possible on M400???)

- factory pro jet-kit

- swapping to superbike forks

 

and many more...

I got mine from Ducati Salzburg while I was holidaying there. I paid around 20Euro I think. You can buy it online but will prob hv to pay more due to shipping.

Good news... Called Kallang cycle and my Monster 400 stock exhaust ( Thong project) is ready for collection in few days time..!! Can't wait..!! I just wonder what it will sound and the power will be...!! If its a good job done by them u guys can go to him instead of searching for a aftermarket steet legal ones... cheers...!!

Thank you very much bro. I will think about it. BTW, read from another post said that install a ducati performence kit, then our 400cc baby monster can become a real 600cc monster. I am thinking about it. Will go to check it out at Mineva.

 

Any of you ever installed that thing before. I think if I change, then TP also cannot find out bah. Coz got Monster400 sticker on the bike. haha... But wondering about the annual test. If can really change, then I don't think i will buy a Class 2 bike. Will ride this for some years. hehe.....

I think you're being watch by TP this very moment.

These guys don't just ride the road only. They do surf the net too.

 

I think such issue are not advise to discuss over here.

And I bet there isn't monster mod till such extend as you mention in our local country. Probably the US have lots of such mod.

But i prefer M900(just my personal preference)..

The way it growl tru Orchard Road..

Its just a head turner..

Why do i know dt..

I used to own one till some cheap low live ******* set fire on to it..

If ur thinking whether i take care of my old ride?

U shud ask Gerry Looi's how much i spend on doing up the engine again..

Accessories wise...

Noting to say..

i will buy it..

The rest etc like taking care of the bike & all..

I'm thinking of swapping to Superbike forks. Anyone did this before? Can a Ducati 996 sps Showa forks fit my 98 M400? I can't stand the hard jerking over strips, humps and road dents! Thanks!

bro the superbike fork differ from yours greatly.if havent already,it needs major changes...like triple clamps for instances.btw...fork rake is 23dergees it think,quite steep.i think if you jus maintain servicing of fork things would be cheaper
