i have ran out of fuel for a record no. of times on the monster compared to any other bike. also once on ecp towards suntec.

 

just dump it, do a mass sms, call for a taxi, pick u up, wait for u at the nearest shell/esso as they have the metal tins to refuel. take the taxi back to the monster. usually a 30min round trip exercise :p

 

the toughest part is dripping fuel on to the TANK itself!!!

 

dont wash it off quick enough and u will need a new paint job man.:angry:

 

 

want to call the phone batt was dead.

that why i always look for a plastec bottle or buy one,cut it up and can be a funnel

End of Year Trackday:

Date: 30th December 2008 (last Tuesday of 2008)

Time: 0830 leaving white house for PG and breakfast, change money, pump petrol etc...

Track session: 1030 but must be there by 1010 to register and prep.

3rd trackday so far i have organized and hope to continue clean safe fun for everyone here.

thanks and very certainly will. haven't seen many monsters on the track and those who i have seen have mostly been expats! i have been wondering where all the local guys on their monsters were... and it's good to know that i'm not the only one here who likes to test his own limits of riding... i would have to say that the monster is such a good bike to track and also such a wonderful street bike too! we get the best of both worlds actually... hehhehheh...

i dun go to the track that often but once in a while will pop by with some friends of mine (another S2R and a fazer 1k) for a track session.

it doesn't matter whether who's going as long as we all have the mentality that we are all going there for a safe and fun time. it would also be a good time to learn from each other about riding styles, bike set-ups and such, and most importantly, to just have a good time...

Servicing done. Did 210km on one tank of fuel today. Shiok ride at only 100km/h 5k-6k rpm. Can you try to make it for track?

Hang on. No need to change anything. Your 160km is not the actual 160. If you travel at 160km/h for one hour, your speedo reads only 100km/h, your milage will read only 100km what, but you used 160km worth of petrol. So by the time you really reach 160km on empty tank, you probably went 200km+ already. Try the distance measurement with another monster/ vehicle/ car and see if it is really 50km on both machines after riding the same route. Get on the highway and go round island, i got a feeling your monster will record lower distance than the other vehicle.

Apart from those names on the list for Track Days....Most other local monster riders sit down @ kopi shop drinking ice tea and ponder where to ride in singapore!!!

After a while of no decision, we move off to another kopi shop to ponder the same question.

jus like to share with you my morning blunder.

 

after awhile with my Spr Trapps with a good milleage.i have forgotten to do my math when i put the OEMs back.

 

I ran out of fuel along KJE next to PA.To add to my pains,my mobile when dead.

 

500m push and abt 1km walk later to the nearest station.I felt the vigour of an early morning exercise.

 

Should anyone expirence this(knock on wood...KNOCK HARDER!)heres some tips.

 

1) Its good to know where the nearest station evrywhre in SG,just as good to know where is the 4D oulet too.

 

2) Always buy a 500ml plastic bottled water in whatever flavour you fancy.Not only will it quench your thrist after the long push/walk back,it will also be a good funnel when your pour in your petrol from the tin.

 

3) carry a blade or anything sharp too cut the water bottle not to slit your wrist (even if this is the 4th time).

 

Lastly where are all the Monster riders aka good samaritans when you need them....?i was really hoping above hope that a red/yellow beast to come and save the day.

 

You don't necessarily have to find the good samaritans riding monsters.. I now ride a VerS after my Aprilia, driving a Colt Plus, and I'm still willing to come by and help you out..

Nice turnout! All the more we have to be punctual at the white house check point. 8am meet and 830am we will DEPART from meeting point. Lets be on time so we do not need to rush. We arrive at the track early to take a breath and prepare. Glad to see you 2 make it
