Most COE bikes have not even gone 80000km. No difference if it is 10 yr old or 5 yr old. It is the milage for the mechanicals. For the electrics, rubber wires sometimes melt/fuse or less waterproof for COE bikes.

 

I think Ismail meant 10K km valve clearance check, 20K km valve clearance adjustments. 10K km usually no problems, that will take 10months or 6 months depending on how often you ride. Belt change at 20K km i think.

 

My 60K km major service coming up for big bike. Expected to cost $700 +-. I update again 2 weeks later.

 

I see, thanks for the info. I got drenched in the heavy rain just now while riding, don't really feel like going for the saturday meetup today. Next week I guess, what time and where is the meetup?

Meetup venue is at Royal Prata Cafe, 28 South Bouna Vista Road.

 

Weekly Meetup is every Saturday from 8:30pm.

was wonderin if anyone knows roughly how much does a DUCATI 696 cost?

brand new of cos =)

might be getting that beauty if price is right.

It's not about the power or speed or how fast your ride goes but the time & effort spent to achieve something different :cool:

Checked the spark plugs and replaced them. That wasn't it.

Checked the air filter, that wasn't it.

Checked the carb balance, that wasn't it either.

Checked the fuel supply, that also wasn't it.

 

I dunno liao. I now have a Supercub C400. Argggh!!!

Destroy the current tank of petrol. Pour it all out to see if you can find 2 densities of liquids. If not you can always pour it back into the tank. Check the fuel filter. If you dont have it buy one. Your fuel lines might be clogged or collapsed due to age. Put a fresh tank of petrol in.

 

After riding your bike yesterday, it was very 100% similar to the symptoms i experienced with my bike 2 weeks ago. Trust me on the fuel part. It is not air not spark if you can stationary rev it to red line but cant power up when riding.

I too have the same addiction, to riding and eating in Malaysia. So to cure it, i travel to JB for ramli burger and hopefully A&W instead of the one at Malacca.

 

Awesome...do hv the directions to go to the JB AnW?

How about setting up an outing next weekend? I'm GAME!

C'mon guys...any other takers? My hunger increases with every passing day.....

OK...checked the A&W website....there's one at the Jusco over at Jalan Permas Jaya Utama in JB....kinda directly opposite the Senoko plant according to the maps....I'm good to GO! Any kind souls wanna take the plunge with me- cos I've never been there before! Heh....msg me at 90297628! Let's hv a Ducatisti charge to A&W!!!
