back road (LIMA KEDAI-GELANG PATAH -TANJUNG PERLEPAS)ride was interesting.to bad didnt finish.

Hi,

 

I did not see much post on ducati monster 696.

I am a big fan of monster. Any advice for me in term of issue, maintance cost on the new monster 696?

 

I serious need you guys help in reaching a saint decision.

maint cost...5k EO,10k Valve clearance, rest standard for every bike.

 

monster 696 good bike. more powerful than fazer.

More powerful than stock fazer but not a s powderful as 136hp fazer with leo vince pipes w/o baffles with givi boxes. Haha :angel:

 

Actually Monster 696 maintenance interval is longer due to better design. 6K,12K and 24K instead of 5k, 10k, 20k for oil change, major service, belt change plus major service.

 

However parts price and labour at official workshop has increased. It is basically worry free and cheaper if you go to alternative places for servicing but not recommended for bike under warranty.

When it comes to bikes, I only see red…

Stick the pads onto your inside of helmet. Works like a face mask built into your helmet.

L Twins are just a different configuration of a V Twin. Either the V Twin will get to u first or the extra small mirrors.

Should not be blurry unless it is crap aftermarket mirrors. Not sure if stock one have, but good quality mirrors have a sponge behind the glass to damp vibration. If not all bikes will also have the problem when traveling fast enough. Look for convex aftermarket mirrors too if choosing a small sized one for safety purposes.

i used to put rubber washers(water pipes) to reduce vibrations in locations most needed.helps a bit.

It is a V-Twin, buy for the vibrations. Saw your ex monster yesterday. The new owner wanted to do something to its left exhaust pipe and was looking for a mechanic.

When it comes to bikes, I only see red…
