Hey Dodo !

Certainly agree !

Thats why i want a problem free 696 .. not sure what to look out for.

Also i have a good source for battery for bikes, it starts my blade like a charm even after 3 weeks of not riding.

Gonna want to put that into the duc, will there be a problem ?

Also, setting aside 2k for maintenance ? wow ! thats alot, however if you are including the service light reset then i guess thats why but still .. 2k seems alot !

I'll use 12/24kkm as reference. Same things are done for newer bikes but different intervals.

All the information is only rough gauge and set to the higher end:

12kkm servicing - 300

24kkm servicing - 700

Belts x2 - 280

Clutch plates - 450

Brake pads (ebc HH) - 140

Tires (last 10kkm) - 500

Battery - 100

2k is a set aside budget. If able to get any of the above at a lower rate, its definitely to your benefit.

Eg. Aftermarket belts / clutch. Touring tires. Newer models longer servicing intervals.

Baring in mind that there are standard recommended servicing intervals and requirements to maintain an optimal machine.

Clutch plates burn out alot faster under start stop / half clutch conditions. Dry clutch plates can easily burn out within 10kkm under those conditions. Wet clutch plates can easily last 40kkm if used for touring.

Depending on the tires u buy, they last anywhere between 3kkm to 100kkm. But there is always a compremise between performance and lifespan.

Valve clearance is mandatory every 24kkm.

Belt change is every 24kkm or 2years whichever comes first.

Bare in mind. This is a maintenance budget, not inclusive of replacement of faulty parts.

I hope this does shed some light on this subject.

Thanks H@nn and dodobird for the suggestions!

I don't think the Viper saddlebags will fit as the exhaust would be in the way. The kriega looks pretty good actually. Thinking of getting the US30 dry pack tail bag, hopefully its not too big and droop down over the brake light.

Cheers guys, appreciate it!

Greetings fellow Ducatistis,

After much thought, I am putting up my 2010 Monster 1100 w/ ABS for sale. Reason why I'm selling is because I don't have the time to ride anymore with my busy work schedule and I rather a fellow Ducatisti ride it in her full glory.

It is kept in a sheltered carpark and I do not ride in the rain. I also only ride during weekends as a means of pleasure and not a mode of transport. As a result, the bike has an incredible low mileage of 3000

The bike is also washed and waxed (Dodojuice Supernatural) weekly on my own and is taken care of mechanically as well.

List of modifications (who leaves a Duc stock?):

1. Termignoni CF end cans accompanied by air filter and DP ECU

2. Rizoma rear sets

3. Speedymoto Shinobi pressure plate with Speedymoto clutch cover

4. DP CF fuel tank cover, vertical strip & front fender

5. Touring seat with red stitching (better for your lil bro)

6. Brembo RCS19 master brake pump

7. CRG clutch lever with 5 adjustable biting points

8. Carbonvani CF rear cowl

9. DP short tail licence plate holder

10. CRG bar end mirrors

11. DP led signal lights (front and rear)

12. Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa

13. ASV brake and clutch levers

I'm asking for $25,500 firm. I consider this to be reasonable with the higher COE now, list of expensive addons listed, pristine condition and ultra low mileage.

Enough of talk, here are some pics:

Those who are seriously interested can contact me at my mobile (9847 7595) for viewing. I can let go the bike at anytime.

Cheers,

Desmond

il monstro Is recovering! Got her to raymond's..

Serviced Carb, wash petrol tank, Changed EO, Oil Filter, Got a new fuel filter and U-hose[Apparently I found out that the previous owner didnt have a fuel filter on my baby] and change the o-rings for the valve.

Guess It wasn't the V3000 that I refuel that was causing the problem, It was more of not having a fuel filter was her downfall as petrol somehow leaked Into my EO,overflowed my carb.

Oh well, as long as she's running again, I couldnt care less..
