Hi, I'm thinking to buy used m796. Can share how's the fuel consumption mileage on full tank for typical sg traffic? Is a ducati m796 with mileage 50+k but less than 4yrs old safe to buy? The bike have went thru standard full servicing and was mostly used for local commuting. Appreciate some advise from Ducati riders.

Just saw this post from months ago. Are you still looking for the stock exhaust shields for the M696 (2013) similar to the pic u attached? If yes, I have a pair. Quite new. I ordered the carbon fibre ones to replace the stock shields. PM me if you are still looking.

I'm riding the Monster 1100 model. Light, accelerates away very fast & nimble. Not forgetting it's considered cheap to maintain for me. (Similar to Jap bikes).. I've tried to ride the 696/795 however, lesser horsepower. Anyway check your PM..

Anyone had the experience of clutch bearings in their engine bursting? Im riding a 796 '12,servicing all done at minerva for EO change,minor/major interval servicing.3mths after my warranty expires,experienced engine problems.went to minerva,took apart my engines and discovered the bearings burst with 5-6 bearing missing from the housing/casing.anyone had similar experiences?

Nope. Hasn't happened to me. But then again, my bike is parked like 85-90% of the time. =/

 

And.. It seemed a wee bit lonely and quiet here.. So i'm replying even though I haven't the experience! =)

Can someone enlighten me... I can start my bike m696 but when I engage it in first gear engine dies off even when the side stand is up...got no prob in starting when it is back in neutral gear ...anybody encounter tis prob b4...I suspect the side stand safety mechanism is spoilt... Any chance I can override the safety mechanism ?
