take up 10 yrs loan, take around 5 yr to break even if u have downpayment n around 6 yrs to break even if u full loan,

It takes over 9 years to break even for full loan.

9 yrs ? LOL.. who told you that.. break even ley.. bro.. meaning u bought a car at $50,000, + 10yrs interest, after paying 9 yrs, the car worth how much is equal to how much u can sell..???

I forgot about the body value. If you want to break even just before the 8th year, the body need to be worth $4.6k at that time (after taking into a/c the interest rebate of $1.3k).

 

A $50k car (including $15k COE) would have OMV of about $13.4k.

 

OMV: $13.4k

COE: $15k

Loan amount: $50k (full loan)

Interest rate: 2.85%

Duration: 10 years

 

So, I'll say it breaks even at the 8th or 9th year -- which is still a long time.

haha. true.. once ur backside sit on it n sell off, u lose. the faster u sell, the more u lose out.. take up 10 yrs loan, take around 5 yr to break even if u have downpayment n around 6 yrs to break even if u full loan,

 

Thats why, I always keep my car loans no more than 30%. an loan no more than 3 years

hi there, ever considered a daihatsu copen??? nice small zippy turbocharged car.. looks like a mini mx5 should be around the price range of a mitsubishi i anyway! smallest cc convertible! :faint:
