Kawasaki ZX10R Technicial Issue!

I'm going to be using stock discs for now. The pair i got still got quite fresh stock pads, i'll try them out but will probably change to Braking or Vesrah. Since CM55s are currently out of stock i'll probably go with the Vesrahs.

 

bro..u have any indea how much pads from braking / vesrah / gold fren / daytona are going for ??? are they more expensive then EBC ?

Errr not very sure. The Braking CM66s i'm using cost me $320 for the front pair, 160 a side. Joshua from bikelab said the versrah's would cost around 300+ as well, but that was some time back, before they started selling them. Actually i haven't really checked if they've even got the versrahs in yet.

YEN, for normal road use i guess the EBC pads are ok. Heard one or two bad reviews for track use so i don't use them.

Previous owner painted them silver. Will probably repaint them sometime, some of it fading off. Just had them installed with the stock pads they came with, horrible feeling. The pads don't seem to be biting, have to use so much effort for even normal stopping. I'll take her out for a ride tonight and try to bed them in, but i'll probably get a good set of pads soon.

from the handle bars down, near the frame area beside the fork, there is this " rubber mat" .... wat is it for arh ???

does it tear easily ???

 

cos today when i was gng to start bike, i turn the handle bar to centre from the left lock position... got one tiak sound ...its not the key lock tiak..seems to come from the area near the " rubber mat" leh !!!

 

anyone experience b4 ?? some catch broke or wat ???

ayuluv,bad mileage also due on battery.u might wanna check ur batt cond n cables.i've clean filter,change plugs,oils but still same problem.bike felt draggy n died while riding.also lost of 50km of mileage.it may nt be the same but once i change batt,bike back to normal.

However now need at least twice - thrice the times to start it. Will it be the battery or plug?

Battery. I had the same problem recently with starting until i changed my battery. But then again i was still using the original battery that was almost 3 years old.

May be battery.

Before this i got this problem of the speedo resetting itself when i start to crank my ZX10R. the mileage and clock itself reset back to zero.

Change battery ok liaoz.

Hi all,

Some Weekend update.......

 

I tried the fuel consumption yesterday...

I pour 9.4 ltrs and when reach 144km, the yellow light come out. I was riding mainly on 2nd and 3rd gear...playing corner corner in our neighbouring country.

 

On the rattling/buzzing sound, I observed that this sound will be heard the moment RPM reached 4600. Then 5000RPM and above, the sound will be gone. Also tried the experiment as illustrated earlier on the above website link on "how to remove the sound"...but alas..the sound is still there despite removing the front fender and taped all the touching parts as illustrated in the above earlier posted link.

 

Ok...that's all my report on this week..
