Hi bros out there, just collected my near perfect zx 10r 05'model from loois today!

Wow!!!!

I must say the bike is every bit as powerful or even more than i imagined!!!

Loved the bike since 3 yrs ago man!

Love that exhaust note!!!

The package is simply too good to fault!

Reviews claim 160 km/h even before 13k rpm in 1st and i tested till bout 8k and was already bout 90km/h!!!

Uppz to the most inpossibly powerful 1000 bike!!!

Also read that the bike makes bout 162 hp at e rear wheel!!!

That better than that of e 1098r!!!!/ RC8r!!! Or for any other 1000s except maybe e MV? Which spots an inline 4 engine as well?

Any advise for a new rider of this fantastic bike???

Pls enlighten me further guys!:thumb:

Thanks for the advice Norz,

Did engine oil/ filter change(just to be sure!) to motul 300v, coolant flush and change to maxima cool aid, Changed '4 sets'of brake padds as fr pretty worn out. Would agree with u that brakes pretty crap but aft changing pads, slightly better : )

Norman of Racewerks was telling me about e brembo radial master pump with 2 pistons for better braking power and modulation. Set going for 499 man!

Then he said to further save on e brake pad money, brembo mono-blocks would be a gd change @ 1200.

I went there again today and changed my diablo corsas to super corsas because e promo pretty gd la. Gave my old tires to a fellow ninja rider on a zx6r heehee!

I can give 2 thumbs up this pair of tires as its super sticky on track!!!

Guess now lastly is to get a steering damper, rear shock and radial master pump to round up the entire performance/ handling package!

Really love e bike! Compared to the myraid of R1s and GSXRs out there my 05 10r is really a rare gem and that engine note is just so nice!!!

Uncle Lee told me this bike is fr them and that e previous owner really took great care of his bike! one owner some more haha condition near perfect 10 too!

I gave swopped e yoshi for a stock as i prefer the stock's raw sound while still being able to hear the engine scream when on full bore acceleration!

U guys do meet ups?

It can range from low to high 150s, depends on the bike/dyno/conditions. Power figures don't matter, more important is that the bike is fuelling well and the powerband is smooth. I personally prefer a nice flat torque curve myself, since we rarely go past 10k on the road.

1st gear top speed depends on gearing, i've seen 165 in 1st on my 04 but running 17/41, so probably the numbers are a little off. Stock gearing is 17/39 for 04/05 models, but the bike tends to bog when moving off with stock gearing.

For 04/05 i still have a PCIII, Traxxion AK-20 fork kit, Ohlins rear shock and Muzzy full system for sale if you need anything.

Thanks for the info Guys!

Jus gave my beauty a scrub down and took off lotsa dirt and grim!

I read from the zx10r.net forum that if e bike uses a 16/39 sproket config and 1/5 throttle will change the performance characteristics of e bike by leaps and bounds but think it will tend to wheelie a lot more right?

Guys, what do you mean by tend to bog on moving off?

Will giving it partial throttle i.e my manual 1/5 throttle help kill the bogging problem?

Will PM u guys regarding the parts if I buy hee hee!
