Pilot Sport

 

Front and Rear $440 with balancing. The front is HPX. Its a better version of the normal pilot sport for heavy bikes like ours, hayas etc. The rear is the normal Pilot Sport cuz my mech doesnt bring in Rear Pilot Sport with HPX.

 

Pilot Road I cant rmb the exact. Should be around $380.

 

Alternatively, I was quoted by Mah Motor Parts. $370 for normal Pilot Sport. Dunno got balancing anot...

Does any one know where to buy those power distribution block/panel? Some call it splitter. To branch out electricity from your batt so that your batt terminals wont be so messy.

 

I tried SLT before but couldnt find anything, i didnt find extensively though. My friend bought a very good one from US before but i cant find something that robust online.

 

I did find some "not so good" ones online. Before I commit, does anyone know where got sell in singapore?

1.) Metzeler Z6 : who can quote best price??

 

2.) Michelin Pilot Sport HPX : $430 + balancing (quoted by HKL website)

 

2.) Preili Strada : Dean, is Rahman still using it? u know how much?

 

Personalli, im lukking at Z6 and pilot sport HPX... prices shud b around the same... but dunoe which is grippier and last longer...

 

anyone??? c'mon~ lets organise a FJR tyres Orgy session....

 

From wot i can see : Me, Dammie, DeanZ4, Casper and Seahm (if im not wrong wana change tyres)

I juz got quotes frm HKL.

 

1.) Pilot Sport HPX - $420 (for 3 FJRs), last around 16,000km max, they said this for high speed not for heavy bikes, not realli reccomended

 

2.) Pilot Road - $390, last around 18,00-20,000km, sports touring

 

3.) Z6 - $420 (for 3 FJRs), last around 20,000km, sports touring

 

4.) BT021 - $350, around 25,000km, sports touring

 

*All prices includes balancing + free pressure gauge*

 

HKL reccomned no. 2-3 for FJR and they are purely sports touring tyres.. When i say sports touring i refer to FJRs... not STX kind of sports touring (i wun define STX as sports touring.. a sporty looking tourer only) .. good for us~

Price wise.. BT tyres has been the cheapest n give ard the best mileage and handling.. even on wet surfaces i muz say...

I just change mine tire... change back to diablo($380) ince playing corner is quit sweet... only ride for 5 month only since change it around Nov b4 3NCR... BT021($360) is better since it a sport touring tire but too bad, dont have our size(180)... only have size 190 at hkl...

Yes... Yes... seahmh needs to change his bike tyres too.

 

Do allow me to go ask the boss of the bike shop this Sat morning(when I go down to pay my monthly instalments), which I purchased my bike from, can he give us a very good price on a pair of Z6? This is because he promised to give me a very good price(if and when I need to change tyres) cos I know him since my friend and I bought our Phantoms and our S4s from him.

 

hmm... Maybe S$350 + balancing?? Considered expensive? (Don't quote me, I am just making a wild guess on the price... )

 

Let's do a mass tyre changing, then all of us can get a good price, a must-buy price...
