PC is power commander. is a device to so called overwrite ur original ECU fuel injection mapping, make sure u find a good place & good mech to tune it up. the effect can be facsinating.

currently in Singapore only a few shops are carry this product.

& after fix up u need to send ur bike 4 dynorun or dynojet, currently in Singapore only 2 shops hv this machine. Unity motor @ bukit merah & Pleasure motor @ ubi.

imo, the FI mapping wont be optimize without jetting or dynojet. Some may say there is mapping from others bike can be use, but i think every bike is diff even is same batch. a very good example is the CO setting on our FJR, i seen on a few diff FJR, they are diff.

BikeTech boss advise me previously if change after market exhaust must get PC also, else the difference wun be maximised.

Hi Deanz4, your pipe is it sounds like many2 bikes riding all together, Rumble,rumble,....................

 

Last time at my place car park heard a loud rumble coming but when I turn around, I just saw one FJR riding towards me, nod my head and this Malay guy return my greetings by nodding his head too

 

I think his pipes was the Remus something, I not sure

 

BTW the sound quite scary if comes suddenly, can give heart attack to old man

 

rumbing sound it is.. veery deep bassy sound.. that with the bafful on .. at first when i just install it i found abt dissapointed due to the sound not really loud.. so i went inspection and all then go home.......

 

project X start...heheh take out the silencer.and wala......sound so loud... i dont know if the sound is the same or remus is louder... never get to compare

I think it might be the timing chain getting loose

 

When I left the place I saw a red FJR riding into HL.

Yah, I noticed the footrest too. Cool. Helps protect the pipe from getting scratches from pillion's shoes/sandals. I also looking to fit one after my wife's heels cause minor scratches on my pipe.

oic i thought which one u guys refering too.. oh that foot rest k.. the normal one tell u is simply very flimsy and sucks( i think only 06 modal have it..so when i pillion some one not familiar with my bike (other then my gf..hehhe sshhhhh dont tell my gf) will leave their shoe sole at my pipe had a hard time scrubbing it so i had it custom made.by uncle lim which also ride fjr...

HOw old is your ride, bro? Think most 'aged' bikes have this 'pinging' sound.

 

Timing chain loose is one possibility, valve clearance might be another.

I intend to do a one-time valve clearance by this year. Estimated to cost arond S$600. The labour is expensive as it involves a lot of work. But bo pianz,mileage now around 75k and bike getting old liao (5yo this year).

 

Any buggers here done valve clearance before? How's the difference?
