$265 is the part only. Its a real pain in the ass replacing this and I think HL charge at least $80 for it, prolly more.

Boss, can share your magnetic coil got burnt for which of your ex-ride? FJR or FZ6?

 

I am riding a FZ6 now, your posting here got me concerned too.

 

I just burnt a big hole doing my valve clearance, change air filter, change EO + oil filter, change spark plugs, change cam tensioner...

 

Don't wish to suffer another heart-attack any sooner that I need to burn another big hole to change my magnetic coil. *touch wood*

I still riding my FZ6, mileage onli 17K for the past 18mths ...

 

though i'm now riding a fazer, my heart still feels for FJR ...

I checked with the Fazer guys. Someone did had a fried coil and replaced it.

 

Result = a deep-fried wallet and a burnt heart.

 

hahaha... Same here, riding FZ6 (but mine is a naked ride) now, but still feels a little for a FJR, though I cannot go for short- or long- distance tours for now.

 

I see Mr cstay66's posting of the photo of the 3 FJRs available at Southern Motors.

 

I drool in front of my office PC until the keyboard and mouse got short-ciruited... muahahahaha...

 

But then, got to pull myself back to reality and focus on my family commitments, studies (which commence next Jan) and little princess due next Apr.

 

But contented with my naked FZ6 at this moment. :)

My suzuki k7 600 worst still. Rectifier and batt changed twice. Rect cost $190 DIY batt $70 yuasa. Coil change once $280 DIY.

Gona have my tensioner and windscreen change foc! Yeay!

Got mine for $17 otr wif interest. Fresh new pirelli tires, new paintwork includes rims windscreen, tensioner, new brakepads frot and back, engine oil fully, spark plugs normal, gear oil and bike cover. Loving my sweet ride now.

My friend and I bought all our rides from him too. I bought 5 rides from him, my friend bought about 4 - 5 rides from him too (including two new Falcons)...

 

My friend and I also knows a few salespersons there.

 

But also don't have such excellent deals lei. hahaha...

 

I even had my throat cut deeply by a salesperson call R0*s*0n when I first bought my TA200 from them.

 

I have my reservations about that mechanic.

 

Did not do a good job on my present ride bought from them.

 

I have to spend a bomb to tidy up my ride now. :(

 

Since you hang out at @L13erT, guess I may have seen you before there but just that dunno who you are. hahaha... Cos I hang out there on Sats quite frequently to talk C sing S with a salesperson there. hahaha...

My first bike frm them cbt954 kanna chop by rooster too. Huahaha eversince that incident i always approach andrew straight. Aniwae my group quite big so we got special services too. Remember juz buy him redbull ice packet. For the mech, ah loon whom only i trust. So far so gd, even sometimes ask him for any tips when major diy. Im known for my nick in sbf. Chicken or funkychicken. Mr seah u can come for meetup if there's one.

Took the bike out from Southern last thursday, am lucky to have spotted fork oil leak. Had them repaired on the spot.

Other than that, everyting seems fine, only screeching sounds made everytime I rode it slow, any ideas guys?

A friend said that it might probably be the brakes.

 

Anyhow, any tips from you guys on maintanance to keep it tip top?

This is my first class 2 bike.
