There is no way you will get an answer if you don't provide weight and dimensions. Check here : http://www.vpost.com.sg/vpost/vshopCalcula...query=Calculate

VpostUSA does provide competitive rate sometimes it may cost more than sending direct. Here are my personal experience :

a. It will take slightly longer because they need to consolidate the shipments.

c. The VpostUSA is located in California, you would need to pay VAT (about 7.5%) for the item regardless if the vendor is in California, or ship into califiornia. Then if the invoice price of your exhaust is above SGD400, it will need to pay GST. Double whammy.

I bought my exhaust for my bike thru ebay, paid him an of extra USD 70 for postage (US Mail) and packing materials.

In my view, use only VpostUSA if the seller or vendor don't send direct to Singapore.

thanks Demon fyi. i have sent email to seller regarding the volume and the weight. regarding the invoice, how do u determine the price on it? does it the value of the pipe or the price i deal with the seller? and does it include shipping cost? for example let say the pipe value is $200, but I buy it $100. shipping cost let say $400.

if u don't mind, would u like to share how much did the shipping cost u pay and using which post?

btw vpost has in Oregon as well. do we need to pay VAT as well?

thanks

In order not to confuse you on GST, it's better to read here yourself

http://www.vpost.com.sg/vpostusa/computegst.htm

But if you dealing with an individual, most are willing to state a lower value so that you can avoid paying GST when the parcel lands here. The catch is that should anything happen to your item, they will reimburse you the amount stated.

For lower value item, I use "US Mail" as it's more economically as it has no tracking. For expensive item, i would use Fedex or DHL. Check with your company if they have a corporate account with these courier companies, you paid like 65% of the normal rate.

bro,

go to http://www.usps.com and find out the shipping cost to ship your pipes to Singapore using the desired mode of shipping. Tell the seller and see if he is willing to make use of USPS. Most of the time they will coz its their national postal service. Very fast and effective.

thx bro, surprisingly the cost seems less then US$100 to send the pipe here. It seems USPS only charge based on weight. I have ask my friend in US to bid the exhaust for me and clarify with USPS.com about the shipping fee. will update once my friend win the bid and send to here.
