My friend had a minor accident with his 954 fireblade the other day as well. Remember no matter how powerful you bike is, its still running on two wheels.

It's not the yellow 954 that we known rite?

btw wat mod u do to make the consumption so low. 22km/l is damn good man comparing to my 16km/l. heard from cliff that u did grounding, any diff to the voltage anot.

Ken,

No la, not that yellow 954. Its somebody else.

Victor with the yellow 954 sprained his ankle which playing soccer. Out of biking for a while. haha.

Hyde81,

Grounding and fuel consumption has no correlation, it just makes your electronics more stable. Only feasible on automobiles with highly souped up ignition system or high wattage sound systems. On bikes, little or no difference can be felt.

About Factory Jets;

That time i brought ISE to my mech coz his bike had some trouble maintaining idle, my mech told us that Factory jets have a lifespan of about 1 or 2 years only. meanin the jet holes will wears out faster than the stock jets and the fuel delivery will not be smooth anymore and then u will start to have poor carburretion, poor fuel economy etc etc.

anyone used factory jets long enuff can confirm this? Ghostrider? Revolution? Ise?

1-Pump full till the rim.

2-reset ur tripmeter

3-on ur next pump, pump till rim again.

4-see ur reciept, take the miliege on ur tripmeter n divide by the litres ur pump.

example- 200km pump 10L = 20km/L

Mine was not factory jettin.It was dyno.But I also not sure it was installed for how long cos when I bought my bike it was already installed. Anyway my bike's fuel consumption was very high.Full tank can only last me abt 180km...:giddy: Haha but maybe it's the way I ride.

Anyway saw my bike while working at Ayer Rajah Industrial Park.The look had been changed....:cry: Does it belong to anyone here?:confused:

my bike is with factory jet and k&n filter. abt 180-190 go reserve liao then must pump abt 11+litre

judging from benson case, haha maybe we all must ride at 120km/h and above then can get good fuel consumption. :faint:

yah,it's true dat those jet needles will wear out eventually as days goes by....

but 4 my case though i had it on my bike 4 nearly 3yrs.....my FC had no differnce since the 1st day the needles were on....my one full tank still can let me tahan till 210+ den on reserve....somemore some of u guys know the way i ride last time, throttle open till like petrol no need $$$ like dat....

But one ting is 4 sure,u will feel not so much power anymore after u r used to the power....or should i say cos the needles had worn out and dats explain why loh....Most important is go for regular tuning & u will still enjoy it loh....

yo beng! there is a slight error in yr calculations.

Its usually calculated this way;

1) U pump full tank till rim.

2) Note the Litres of petrol that went in. For e.g 12L

3) Reset tripmeter to 0000

4) go ride..ride...ride....When your bike needs to s/w to reserve liao, note yr tripmeter

reading at that moment. for e.g 0230KM.

5) 230km/12L= 19.16km/L

we always take full tank to Reserve as a reference for FC calculations. more accurate and is a universal way of calculating.

:btw: 230km is my average best fuel consumption (JB Mobil-Synergy :cheeky: ) before hitting reserve. so i guess its in the normal range.

---> Ise, Revolution; Thanks for the info guys...those F.C figures may serve as guideline for people who wana mod Dyno or Factory kits.

Esp Revo's Ex bike, which can acheive 210KM+ on factory jets! amazing.
