i got knock down by a lorry yday... tt person say settle privately.. then ask to pay me back teh damages on installment..

 

wat do u guys think ??

 

i have make a report and got his details...

wat if after i pay upfornt for him first and he dun return me the money ??

 

pls advice fellow riders..

u juz tell him

pay full or now go police and claim from insurance which will pay full also.

 

btw would be good if u ask it over at the Legality and Regulation related thread. u will have better advise there.

I dun think it's a good idea too. what if he dun pay up? if i'm not wrong, you have to make a police report within 2 days of incident, better make report 1st.

i dun think by installment is a good idea....if the person doesn't have enough cash, claim from insurance lor....

hmm, i have makea report liao.. tt lorry is a company lorry... so tt guy dun wan to claim insurance.. he told me he's the sole bread winner in his family of wife and 2 kids..

 

if claim insurance, may affect his job...

 

but now tt i've make a report. if he try to play punk.. i can still claim his insurance or fiund lawyer to sue him right ?

most company drivers gives tat crap excuses...

to protect yrself, u betta claim against his insurance.

usually not advisable to have private settlement unless you can be sure the guy will not try to be funny...

if private, try get a agreement letter endorsed by third party and signed by both of u lor....
