I have been wanting to ask this questions for a long time. Perhaps they are found in old post???

You know sometimes you see road underconstructions or building sites or some workers mending the road. You see "their workers" directing traffic. They can be indian, bangala workers etc. They stop the traffic of the road everyone stopped for their work vehicles etc. My questions are. Who authorised them to do it? Are they legal? Do we have to legally follow their directions if we think they are not doing it correctly? What happen if they cause an accident? Who will be responsible?

LTA says that if you're contracted to close off the road until there's only one lane to pass, then you need to have these STOP and GO signboard persons at both ends.

If you're talking about setting up diversions for other road works, it's the agency wanting the access to the road (Telecom, Power, Water, Gas, Cable TV...) who have applied to LTA to have their contractors to work on the road, and close off part of it.

He who hesitates is lost!

Who authorised them to do it?

LTA authorised... As per their Permit-To-Work requirements..

Are they legal?

Are you asking if these people are trained to do it??

Then I think training is required lah... Simple as ABC rite?

Do we have to legally follow their directions if we think they are not doing it correctly?

Don't have to if both the two signal men are showing "GO" sign for both directions..

What happen if they cause an accident? Who will be responsible?

Hmmmm... Their contractor's company can be fined by LTA??

Steps to do a proper KNNBCCB with middle finger.

1. Bow down slightly, looking intensely at objective

2. Like a raging bull, hop and jog slowly towards objective

3. Take your left palm and slap it hard on the right mid-arm with a SLAP!

4. With charisma, raise right arm, whilst showing middle finger (with left palm trapped in bend right arm)

5. Shout! KNNBCCB
