Commit them to a date........you have every right to do it ! Don't back off, call the police if you have to.........

I am not trying to be a pain in the back, but the more we tolerate it, the worst it will become, why buy something with you money made from sweat and tears and have an EXERCISE IN FRUSTRATION.......it must never happen in Singapore.

Relax man... You can never get anything perfect in this world. Each thing comes with their own set of flaws. Everyone has to be prepared to face some form of future problem with their bikes. But that shouldn't be a life stopper.

Well said Sazman, life is never perfect......but it is really up to everybody to make it better.....no more, no less.

I am not against anybody or company, but this has been happening a long time, but nothing has been done....

I am not alone in this statement, but if I get more support on social media, it can only do good.....I m sure.

Mah rep already say before if you bike has any part need critical replacement worse case they take from new unsold bike. If is small parts of course they will need to order.

Not say I'm taking sides la but objectively looking at the situation, it's not favorable for them to keep large stocks of spare parts in SG to service a relatively small pool of AD3. If AD3 sold like honda waves, certainly no problem to keep a small quantity of every parts as they can be sure to be sold.

Myself lost the bottom belly pan as well need to find time go down claim. As long as they honor the claim all is good. I gave all the bolts and nuts a tightening once over before but some still manage to work itself loose. I think want 100% need to locktite everything.

Ben, you are not the only one without the bottom belly pan, mine also missing.

During the Mah's event, I did check a few AD3, all without the belly pan. I believed it was not installed at the first place.

Ben,

It is precisely things like these that they hope you will overlook ,but your are smarter and observant.

Lets see how long they take, note the date and time........they is such a thing call "airfreight'".

If they have to salvage parts from another bike to give to you, then GOOD LUCK to the other AD3 buyer of

THAT bike, because then he will be buying a LEMON......hence the lemon law.........hope he checks whether

the engine is AD3 or Honda wave engine.

I am not on a witch hunt, but if things like these happen, do the RIGHT thing, recall all the AD3 , since they have not sold 100,000 AD3, check each and everyone THOROUGHLY ,airfreight all the missing parts, replace them ,

change all faulty parts, and start on a FRESH slate........

Designate a staff to take care of this problem and move on professionally, .......by word of mouth or social media

things will get better.

Don't give dinners, ang pows ....whatnot, it is just a whitewash going forward, it just cleans the surface but the wound is still there.......

Btw......just to put things in perspective, in case they think I am a competitor out to malign them, I will put my money where my mouth is.......I will buy AD3......just give me a reason to......

I certain when they say cannibalise parts from the new bikes they will replace it before selling. Else it will be unethical and if they really did that they would have kept quiet and not let us know the part is from new bike.

So I think guys if according to what Andre said is true and many of us(if not all) do not have the belly pan, we should consolidate and claim together. If one person claim one by one surely will take longer time then group claim, so we do a headcount okay?

If you bend down to peep at the bottom you'll see an opening at the bottom and you can see 2 ears which suppose to hold the clip-on nuts for securing a plate.

So I believe this belly pan is a piece of rectangular plastic plate right at the bottom of the engine.

Look carefully at the edge of the opening and the 2 ears, there isn't any sign of any installation at all, so I believe it was never installed at the first place.

Heard the "kling kling' sound while riding for passed 2 days. This morning realized one of the bolt for the exhaust heat cover was missing. Luckily discover in time or another piece will be missing from the bike. :giddy::faint:

I think it is not uncommon for thing become loose after rode for a period of time. We need to check and re-tighten it regularly .

My previous FJR, Goldwing GL1500, GL1800 also had lost somethings before.

Our HD friends have even more stories to tell..fuel cap, exhaust pipes, gear shift level, countless of bolts & nuts.. :cheeky:

IMG-20131108-WA0009.jpg

The culprit was the heat insulating washer, I think it cracked overtime and caused the bolt became loosen.

Found some bolts, spring washers and flat washers, used 2 spring and 2 flat washers for each bolt.

Well, all done. :)

The main heat shield also loosen, need to tighten it again or should I replace all the bolts & washers as well?

The manuals are already here bros... Wait for a call from Mah.

Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk

Huh, ???? the manual came AFTER you guys bought the bike? Wow, this must be the first incident like that in Singapore........

If you guys are going down to Mah, ask if they can have a total recall of the AD3, and fix up everything once and for all........get them to freight in the missing parts, tighten all the bolts and nuts, leaking seals and Loctite all of them.......

Give them 2 weeks......no more.......and get on with riding the bike, not FIXING it......:slapforehead:

cayennurff, have you collected your bike, it was waiting for you in the rain this afternoon. :)

I check an unregistered new AD3 at NW and Cayennurff's bike, both also don't have the belly pan, so I think can confirm all AD3 come without the belly pan.

while riding straight on the road, i can feel the bike is drifting from left to right, right to left. the feeling is stronger especially riding in expressway.

is that normal?
