I think Ah Boy might be cheaper but I won't scrimp the couple of tens of dollars for their workmanship.

Hi guys... Need some advice...

I just bought my SuperFour some 3 months back...

My tyres are Shinko... Noticed that the front wheel is almost worn out, but the rear tyre is OK...

Was reading the thread and am really tempted to get M5....

Is riding with a worn out front tyre dangerous?

Is this the time to get new set of tyres?

Posted

Of cos its dangerous.. Ur front wheel skids easier which nakes it even more dangerous then the rear wjeel

Front skid, no way to control. Rear skid can at least counter steer to control...

As you can see in the picture, at the "Date Code" indicates "2703". How you decipher that is the "27" represents the week and the "03" represents the year in which the was manufactured in. It is usually in an oblong marking on the tyre.

Went to Unique (Toh Guan) as well to get tyres on Saturday... Was at a fix whether to choose between Metzelder M5 or Pirelli Angel ST... In the end chose Pirelli as it can last alot longer than M5... Got it for $310... Also changed handlebars!

Have to say, these few days the roads are super wet due to rain but still Angel handled them like a pro...

I looked at the poll on this thread, and have read some reviews and notice that a lot of people like the Bridgestone BT-090. I am debating between this tire and the BT-92. I haven't noticed anyone on here that has said anything about this tire. Does anyone have any experience with it?

It looks like a trade off between softness and more grip (BT-090) and a longer mileage tire and better wet grip (BT-92). I would look at the Michelins and other tires, but Bridgestone seems to make the best tire in a 140/70-17 size.
