question: how often does one have to change the tires? changed my rear tire last year because the side wall was leaking. my front tire shows that it was manufactured in 2009 week 19. Am using a bridgestone battlux.

120/60 tyres, Very Good Gripping on wet n dry

Just to share.

 

I been trying to look for MICHELIN PILOT POWER for my friends Super 4 quite a few months back and quite alot of bike shops in SG do not have stock. Recently I have found out that BikeWerkz @ 10 Kaki Bukit Rd 2, #01-24 First East Centre

Singapore, Singapore 417868 Tel:6747 6774 that has the stock.

 

When to did a change and it cost $270 with installation & alignment.

If i'm not wrong they only have stock for front 120 and rear 160.

M5 wear out like using eraser den run it across the asphalt. but for its short life, you will live a long life.

Get those tyres that have hard center compound and softer sides..sport touring tyres like bridgestone bt021,023...michelin pilot road 2 or pilot road 3 or metzeler z8..these tyres suits more for those wants grip and last long.:

Its great tire for track and street..but wont last like a sport touring tyre does..

Anyone can enlighten me which tyres can last longest on street use?? As i clock abt 7000km every 2 months. My tyres botak damn fast..

Like i mention is previous post get those sport touring tyres as they are best in balance with grip and durability..

 

If you mantain the correct air pressure througout its life..it will last about 30-35000kms..

and how much does it cost? is it as simple as just buying the rims and fixing it?

or there are mods to be done?

Hi guys. Just bought a spec3. Changed tyre to pilot road 2. Around the rims i can see some small metal plates (abt 1cmx1cm) sticking on it. And i also realise that theres some marks "stains from black tape" indicating that theres suppose to be metal plates there but was taken out hence leaving the mark. What is this metal plate? Thanks in advance for any advice!
