Convesation to Australian Licesnes

I need to reside in melbourne for a a few years, returning to sg for a short period inbetween.

 

currently am a 2b licenses holder, was wondering which department in sg or in melbourne itself do i have to go through to get my singapore 2b licenses converted to an australian licesnes?

 

is there any test, exams i must take in melbourne before i am able to get a licenses conversation?

 

if i am able to convert my licenses, will i get a open class license or am i still restricted to ride only bikes that are 200cc and below?

 

 

next, because i am unable to come back to sg to take my 2a and class 2, can i convert the australian license to class 2 when i finally come back to sg permanently?

i think u can still use ur sg license upto 3 months upon arrival.

but for longer time.. need to convert which u need to sit for theory test to be familiar with aus rules.

and again probation period applies.

not sure about upgrading to 2A over there..

Thanks for the reply As for the probabtion period, does it still have restriction on the cc? or it means i have to put a P-plate but i am open to ride all classes of bikes??

 

 

any idea what is the equivilant of LTA or TP for australia/melbourne is?

 

or anywhere i can read up on this?

well.. u can check the following web sites for more info.

but their rules are so strick and heavy fines too..

 

they have undercover cops going around too.. (mostly in black or deep blue holden saloons).. u can differentiate them as most normal cars put on accessories but the "cop car" is just plain stock condition..

 

and double fines on long weekends or holidays..

to get ur demerit points, have to wait 3 year to get ur point back.

erm theres 2 ways.

 

1st go AA or TP convert ur licence to international licence. think is $20 per yr

 

2nd go australia get motorcycle license there. there only 1 class, class 2. come back singapore, take riding theory convert and u got class 2b/2a/2
