How much work do you think you have to put on the steed?

Also, ask yourself if you're willing to change to a cruiser?

From an in-line to a v-twin engine. Different speed, riding position etc.

Good luck bro.

Hi,

Bro if only spoke rust than you may want to change the spoke. If is not that bad you may want to consider sanding the rust away and spray color to it. Engine is the most importance thing I believe you should know that.

I use to ride a shadow and steed before. Both are as good, I love the shadow with equal weight balance and comfort and big in size. But the steed has a better power for pick up and a more chopper look compare to a shadow. Just my person feel. hehe... :cheeky: Some even say steed can do more mod, hehehe?. Don't quote me on this.

There is review and discussion in this forum for steed, shadow & dragstar may be you should go through it first and if you have any further doubt feel free to ask as I believe many will assist you here. As long you put in effort to do your research first.

Or you can come to our Kruzer Friday meet up at 25 Owen road and we can share with you our knowledge. Please feel free to call me @ 9765 7849 if you need any guide to the place.

Hi,

Battery weak should be a small issuse, as long engine no funny sound than is ok. If you are not sure get someone who know better to help you check the bike.

As for spare there are still quite a numbers of steed rider in the market so no worries bro....... :cheeky:

G'day I recently bought a Steed for my Wife and owned one myself a few years ago. Engine is rock solid if looked after.

If I were you I would definately want to listen to the engine first. If noisy be careful. If it is only a battery problem it should be very easy to clutch start in 2nd gear. Check to see if there is oil inside first as many of the Steed's I've seen have some oil leaks and if it has not been riden in some time the sump may be dry. Bad oil leaks can cost you up to $300 for repair as engine needs to be pulled out.

There are still enough around so parts should not be a problem.

BTW any fellow Steed riders get some electrical shock on left leg from spark plug. Have already replaced the cap but didn't seem to fix. Thanks for any comments.

Cheers

Think you better go see a mech on this. You do not want to have the spark just incase you spill some petrol on the sides ... kaboom!

have bike will travel . . . . .
