I'm having a dilemma now as to whether I should get either one of those bikes. Personally, I will prefer the RS but it's a little pricey and I'm afraid the maintenance costs will put a hole in my pocket. I actually considered getting a second hand RS but is it wise to do so? This will be my first bike and I don't intend on getting class 2a bikes when I upgrade my license as I'm going overseas to study in a few years time. Can anyone tell me their experience with the RS?

For your first bike I'd recommend something low maintenance. R15 fits the bill perfectly :)

There are plenty of second-hand examples around if you don't want to buy new. Have a peek, bring along a friend and most importantly, don't let your heart do the talking ;)

Good luck and I hope to welcome you to our community! :)

Thanks a lot! But I'm really keen on getting the RS 125 though... Any advice on the maintenance and servicing? Like how often do we need to change 2T oil for this bike. I understand that we need to use top grade 2T oil for this. What else is there to take note of?

RS125 would be really a nice ride I would say.

As long as you take good cares of it, it will take good care of you.

It would be a more troublesome bike compares to R15.

I would really recommend the R15 if you're planning on future upgrades.

R15 would be more fuel economical compare to RS125.

And insurance & price wise, R15 wouldn't cost that much too.

But of course end of the day, go with what you like most, after all, it's your bike and it will be with you for quite a while, so I would say, go with what you like:)
