In my opinion, if there is an intention to refund you, they wouldn't have clamped your bike in the first place.

To be fair to the management, it will be difficult for them to enforce rules in the future if they set a precedence to refund you. Ignorance can never be a mitigating factor.

Many places are basically entrapment for them to earn extra bucks. i doubt you will get your money back because its TURF CITY.

my question to you will be does the place you park look like a proper motorcycle parking lot? in Singapore, unless it is a designated parking lot anywhere else you park chance are it is illegal. you are having a class 2 bike so i doubt you are new to it.

 

personally i don't think you are FORCED to pay as you willingly and conveniently parked your bike there at the first place. if you are honest with yourself, i am sure you do agree that it is always possible to find a proper parking lot in Singapore. also, they did not set up the tight appointment for you so i don't think it fair for you to say they are forcing you. we are all adult.

 

well, it is their property and it is up to the management to set the rules and they have already given the benefit of trying to locate the owner first but it is not their fault that you can't hear it. even if i am part of the management team, i will choose not to refund you.

I can't understand why you didn't just park with everyone else? Anyway may this be a lesson for all bikers here not to park illegally anywhere, ESPECIALLY pavements. Its so ridiculous especially near popular coffee shops always got some big bike on the pavement when the parking lot is just at the back. And not even like the malaysians, park with only side stand on the pavement. Must take up so much space so people cannot walk.

I admit it's my fault parking illegally. But at least they should learn from other management like Suntec city, when u park illegally, they put a warning letter at your bike saying if you park again at this area, we will wheel clamp your bike with no question ask. They should at least give u a warning instead of like giving u a death sentence straight away.

 

anyway my topic is to warn you guys not to park illegally there.

my appeal statement given on top is just to write to see if the chances of refund is possible or not.

but it seems like they just give you a death sentence.

i don't agree with your point of view. it should be we should not park illegally anywhere!!! if we choose to do so, we just got to bear the consequences.

 

i guess most people learn through the hard way. i got 2 x $70 plus a $8 fine within a month for me to realise my stupidity during P-plate period.yes, i am a slow learner:bouncefire:
