I tried. It's worse than going gym.

I sweat like mad. The metal too thick already.

dude.. u need a pivot point..

u cannot pull it just like that..

the longer the ring head spanner the better; lesser force needed..

try applying the force by ur leg instead if you feel ur hands dun have the strength to..

Some people measure their adventures in miles or days. I prefer "lamp posts".

I think I'll just drag first gear to motordiam.. Today I pull and knock until I fed up. Got so many people looking at me in the carpark. I took off my shirt (sweating like hell) and was armed with a hammer.

Fortunately, nobody called the police.

ha dude i just encountered the exact same problem. u need 2 people. one person will hold the bike steady and at the same time hold down the end of the gear pedal. the other will use a spanner and pull it using ur body weight and strength basically squatting and leaning back . hope it works out for u. heal well.

yup, agree with wat bro kambing said, which is to use a spannar, find a pivot point and bring the lever back to position (very much like opening the lid of milo tin). my rear brake lever was dented the same way as your gear lever before and i saw the mechanic using this method to bring it back to position.

good luck bro...

I did it!

I used the bike's frame as a pivot (put a cloth between to prevent scratches) and pulled the gear lever out towards me. Gotta use quite a bit of strength, but I am happy because I saved money!

Hi guys,

Mi sometime have gear 'dropped out' problem

Lats Nite, Mi was moving off smoothly then click pass neutral into 2nd gear. I picked up hard till bout 7000rpm thats where my 2nd gear dropped itself to neutral...

Any idea what has cause this?

My ride is spec III. 3 yrs old bike, no signs of clutch slippage when hard acceleration. clutch freeplay is bout 25mm.

cheers :)

this is due to the gear that you kick you must kick hard to let it stay at 2nd gear if not when you break it will oso dorp one gear down by itself

try use a BIG BIG ring spanner , let the ring slip in through the rubber side of the gear shifter , use the frame side of the spanner to hold it/lock it, adjust ur hand 2 near 2 the other side of the ring spanner & pull it back ... have some 1 2 support the bike just it case ... hope it help i saw bike shop do that ...

Yeah man... better off using a metal pole... that fits...
