I have some questions on exhaust systems for Super 4.

Is it true that end-cans are for sound while headers are for performance ? Or does both play a part in the overall performance?

If so, does it make sense to install aftermarket headers with stock end-can? Will the stock end-can fit?

rationale is to minimise eye candy while u enjoy improved performance :)

Thats what i heard, end-cans are more for sound. Or rather, an end-can without a header/full system will not improve performance much.

Though when you read the exhaust websites like Yoshi, they do say that there is a slight increase in hp.

Anyone can advise on whether it's a must to change jet kit if going from stock filter/exhaust to k&n filter+full system aftermarket exhaust?

Optional for jetkit..but air filter must change to hi flow filter like bmc or knn..to compensate the exhaust free flowing fast..for carb tuning better done bcos of yr bike performance upgrade to another level..

Class 2 = 2007 CB400 Ver.S

Class 2 = 2008 TA 150

Class 2 = 2009 CB400 Vtec II

Thanks bro. Been pondering if it's even worth changing for that measly few ponies.

Hey guys

I just bought a spec3 with a stock pipe and i plan to change it. I have received mixed feedback from friends to either change to a blue flame or a yoshi. Don't mind can i have your advises.

Thanks in advance.

Stock is best :) If you want to go for sound then get a blue flame. Or else anything other then that is pointless. :D

I have a full system yoshi and it's pointless. Only advantage is that I get a bit more torque that's all. Sound is only loud when vtec opens or else sounds as loud or even softer then stock.
