Season parking holder but still summoned for parking other than in parking lot.

Hi guys, just wanna ask if anyone ever experienced whereby you're a season parking holder but parked other in the designated parking lot and still got summoned? i've been fined as i parked my bike at the 'no parking' space within the multi-story carpark but not obstructing any vehicle movements. there's no other available parking lot so i had to park there. really spoil my saturday morning.

Well, season parking doesn't entitle you to park outside of a designated lot, particularly one which clearly states "no parking".

 

What kind of effed-up MSCP are you at that doesn't have enough lots for motorcycles? Are they ALL full?

Mine also... at least 10 bikes have been parking outside designated lots but not blocking anyone (including me), nv get fine b4.... I also wonder why so full, even the top unsheltered floor also full, no choice

have to park in the lot, I asked one attendant. I got a season parking at the nearby supermarket area, no lots use another area, no choice.

my MSCP without fail will have no available lots when i got back from work. no choice have to park outside lot. but the no parking lot where i park my bike is not obstructing any vehicles. just feel unfair for paying $17 every month but still get fined. sent an email to them on appeal and feedback. see what's their respond.

I kena at jurog west before. I have season parking but I didn't park in the lot. I didn't park at no parking sign areas also. I parked on a void cement block u know those wasted areas that they somehow managed to make. I appealed but they managed to give me some excuses say I might endanger and block other peoples path. Crazy.. My bike was parked in a corner where nobody goes what.. They want to fine, they have any excuses to use to fine.

But what pisses me off is the Malaysian bikes that anyhow park under void deck can park until shiok shiok with no actions taken against them.

starkyy your season parking got other areas to park? MSCP full like too much leh. Which area is that? Must be super packed. I have season parking for bedok point and that place is packed. almost no slots coz some delivery bikes always park there and there are quite a few.

My suggestion:

 

Check your season parking allocation. Are you allowed to park in another carpark. If no, then everytime when you come home and there is no lot, call HDB and complain, regardless the time. Tell them you are season holder but there is no lot to park, ask them where can you go to park now? Maybe they over-sold the parking lots or the enforcement lazy and not checking, alot of non season holder parking overnight. They may convert more lots to season only. And if after they convert, still no lot, call & complain again.

I am not encouraging you to complain but if they have your record, then easier to appeal in future if you get summon again. They would have record you are having problem with parking and not enough done to solve your problem.

 

About the summon, you can only appeal. Write the same story; i.e. you are a season parking holder but no lots available for you. Likely they give chance but they will step-up enforcement.

Okay that's effed up.

 

But if I were you, I'd try to solve the problem properly and kick up a fuss with my MP. If there are empty car lots available, the Town Council can easily redraw the lots for bikes, and all it'd take is a few cross emails to your TC (CCed to your MP), and a nice long chat with your MP during his/her meet-the-people session. Wasting a bit of your time doing this should be worth the countless fines you'd continue to pay in the long run. Good luck bro.
