Singnet doubling 1.5kbps plan for free

I received Singnet's letter in my mailbox. They're upgrading users on 1500kbps plans to 3000kbps. That's double the current bandwidth.

 

They're planning to make the change on 31st of May 2007. All current users have to do is to logout their router from the line and log-in back again as username@singnet. (Yep, the username scheme was changed as well)

 

Soo, anyone here got the free hookup as well?

For those who have those multi-computer routers (aka. Wireless ones or multi-port), you have to login to the router itself to disconnect and connect it back to the net.

bt. the speed i dling is out of the max dl speed i should have.

even is like wad u said, it still dun make sense of my dl speed. no matter how fast they send, my dl speed is stll capped. but i getting double the speed.

singnet set a dateline but they will make the change b4 the date if not they will have trouble answering the consumers. i experience the double speed at 2 wks ago.

Sorry to burst your bubble but wouldn't the change be reflected if one logs out of his/her _____@singnet1500 account

hmm, meaning he didn't use the 1500 speed at all.

btw pardon me if i'm wrong, but for what i noe is 3.5mbps is on ADSL2 network, therefore the adsl line needs to be adjusted. there shld be a downtime for short moments which shld be experienced on 31st May itself..

 

Well might be coincidence, might not be, my internet was down on tat day itself.

 

If that spells right, probably the change of speed is done on that day only..

 

Or did anyone else feel any dc on 31st itself?

Next day login, pwoah...the speed ah, macam typhoon wind...

3.5 can still be achieved by a adsl modem, actually that's e max it can handle.

anything more then requires adsl2 modem + line profile change.
