This is my experience with the petrol pumped

1) shell vpower= really got power at high spd n with pillion no pro. milage travel never measure. maybe less? i dun know....

2) Shell 98= one ppl ride ok, smooth n can chiong till ard 120km/h, with pillion bike draggy even when cruising. good if u only ride alone. milage ard 280 for 8.44L

3) SPC 98= Good for ppl with pillion as pickup better than shell 98, in expressway smooth with pillion. But top spd is only 110km/h. Millage yet to determine as now still running on SPC98

All are done with the same setting, never change EO or watever during the testing period.

My case as got to pillion ard often so i think SPC98 is suitable for me as need the power to move the bike off n dun need to speed a lot. Ave 90 onSPC98 is smooth ride.

Will update next time when pump caltex n esso to test out.

seriously... 110km/h is very bad on a phantom... or is it that you seldom change EO? anyway, how many boxes do you have...?

EO change every month n only one box at the back. Now change to Fully-syn EO, not good as change of gear not smooth like semi-EO. Mine old bike(7yr old)

so there may have limitation there as last owner is a uncle so ride ard 80-90 max.

I have always used fully syn EO on my 8 years old bike... I have tried 3 different brands so far... none gave me problems changing gears... maybe you should send your bike for a checkup... rough gear changing + 110km/h top speed are definitely symptoms of an underlying problem... dr chong should be able to help you with that :cheeky:

I do esso 95 for power and price ratio.

I do caltex 92-95 for street cruising.

i am using Shell 95 for my phantom 150.

The fuel consumption is about 25km/l. Is that reasonable? I am not sure, cos i just started riding last month, and haven't tried any other types of petrol before. Btw, i am quite light-weight, about 60kg, and don't have any pillion rider. Anyone has any views?

Oh, the standard UOB card doesn't entitle one to discounts sia. The counter guy told me my debit-cum-credit card doesn't allow me discounts. haiz.

latest update

1) Esso 8000= normal ride ok not much vibration compare to SPC , with pillion ok, not as powerful compare to SPC, but ur hands will not feel numb after the ride. 208km travel with 6 L topup(can c the petrol going to leak out liao if pump more in.. whahahah) so ard 34km/L

now try out Caltax

will update again when done.

Caltex 98 - good pickup, vibration after 85km

Esso 98 - slow pickup, less vibrations, during ride, 90km/h den start to vibrate.

was on esso 98... den changed to caltex, the pickup difference was tremendous...

caltex definately offers more power..

nv pillion much... so no comments on that

Do what's right, not what you think is right. =)
