how does the exhaust slider look like when mounted on the bike?

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

its shown on my bike pic.. da red thingy on da LV is an exhaust slider/exhaust protector..

 

can be diy-ed.. measure da diameter of ur end can.. get the steel hose clip wif a dimension slightly bigger den ur end can.. n a high temp silicone hose colour of ur choice.. shud cost arnd less den 5-7 bux to construct one..

 

make sure u get da ryte hose.. cos if its not a high temp one.. chances are.. its gona stick to ur precious end can n u`ll haf a hard time scrubbin off da sticky remains.. ;)

 

N the back rear foot rest u DIY spray black?

 

n yeapz.. sprayed my footrest black.. no $$ fer racing footrest.. =X hehehe..

seriously, how useful is the exhaust slider? it doesnt look like its long enough to hit the tarmac before our exhaust does.. just my POV.. correct me if i am wrong, for those who have tried before..

actually.. its more of a cosmetic purpose.. cos honestly.. i`ve nvr tried da capability of my exhaust slider.. unless u get those original branded exhaust sliders frm Advanced Performance Motors.. etc.. etc.. which is not dat cheap..

 

n 2ndly.. i dun tink der`ll be anyone willin to sacrifice his bike/exhaust to test da capability of it.. unless u`re a frequent track go-er n ride beyond ur limits.. der myte be a chance dat diz lil rubber thingy myte save u few hundreds on a new end can..

 

tried it on my drz before though.. low sided n high sided my bike before on track.. n exhaust still in shape.. myte not be da same results fer other makes dependin on how u fall too.. juz my 2cts.. ;)

is not that difficult to try.. not expecting some1 to take a fall.. just lean the bike with the slider installed (jason's pic is the exhaust slider) to the right all the way and see if exhaust or slider touches the ground 1st.. it will definitely be a different effect if the slider was positioned below the exhaust instead of on top..

really love to have a white super four, waiting to find a part time job so can have the extra cash to respray my blue spec 1 to a Pearl white

 

dame envy those of u with white super four

 

izzit very hard to maintain a white paint work ??

*54163km change EO and oil filter, wash & tune carburetor 15/2/2008

*54971km new tyre, new brake pad 31/03/2008

*New Chain and sproket , new wheel bearing 03/07/2008

*Flush coolant and top up with engine ice,new radiator cap, wash filter and stebel horn 12/08/2008

*59194 change EO and oil filter 30/01/2009

haha.. hard to maintain..? tell me abt it.. i use my s4 daily.. i wash evry 2 days.. can`t stand to see sum black spots/stains on it.. ahakz.. initially wanted to spray pearl white lyk my ex 125z.. but scared ltr da shrouds won`t blend in.. lolx..!

 

hmm.. yeapz.. itz a suzuki raider headlite.. i find it a lil bit small though.. but i love it.. hmm.. got it 2nd hand frm a forummer n re-sprayed it.. ;)
