Have to depend on shops, my friend did on his bike in mah motor near SLT for around $60 included flashing and chnaging of coolant and the guy did a good job just that labour very expensive....

4 bottles and radiator flash cost about $25.

So when he is done he Technology transfer to mi so we again did it together on my bro's bike and my bike.

Is easy but need time..

that's the only screw to take out - the one at the crotch.

however, there are a couple more things to take out:

on the left side are 2 hoses - both are connected to the fuel thingy. need to pull them out.

on the right side are an electrical connector - it measures the fuel level. need to pull it apart.

after that, you can juz lift up the tank easily.

How I take out.

1) Remove seat

2) Remove the 2 side panels (spec 2 logo thingy)

3) Unscrew fuel tank screw

4) Remove vacuum hose (thin one on the left) ( can use long nose pliers and push, easier)

5) Remove fuel hose (thicker one)

6) Remove electrical plug

7) Gently lift up from the bottom (where the fuel tank screw is) and remove the 2 air intake hose.

Done!!!

Welcome!!!

Eh... I think the shop which u go to, to change to KNN air filter, no need reputable or not. Juz cheap can liao...

Cos all the air filter the same one mah... (I think... dunno got fakes or not). Should be quite no brainer for motodiams to install them. Juz remove fuel tank and 3 screws to reach the filter.

If for servicing which requires skill, I like Combine at Sin Ming autocare. Go there dun have to worry and look at the mech one. They do a pretty decent job.

Hi,

Fuel tank is not too difficult to remove.

When removing the fuel lines, there is two lines to remove, the tank wouldnt leak out the petrol.

Step 1 - Remove Seats

Step 2 - Unscrew the nut that stuck to your bike frame

Step 3 - remove the fuel line and an electrical plug

Step 4 - Remove Tank carefully - Pretty heavy and worst if tank if full.

Pretty straight forward.

As for the radiator level, I dont think u need to remove the tank to check. It is beside one of the side cover only.

Dont really need to know the size of the plug.

Just need to know what plug model can be use.

For example .. Denso for Super4

DENSO Normal Plug U24FER9

IRIDIUM POWER IUH24

Cant remember what is the original one.

On the left under the fuel tank, there are 2 pipes.

The thin one is the vacuum, the fat one is the fuel.

Remove the vacuum first.

I will be changing the spark plugs, taking out the carbs to clean and syn next week for my SF ver R.

I will let you know what is the spark plug size (I guess its 10mm) and the vacuum port for carb syn.

Hi bros and sis....

Qn to ask...

S4 fuel tank has 5 connecting thingy right?

2 for the fuel , 1 for the meter( the electric socket) and 2 more nearer to the seat

what are the 2 nearer to the seat ones for? basically its jus a hose that leads down and no connection with other parts of the bike... there are one bigger and one smaller one

thanx
